2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumI have a question regarding provisional ballots and early voting
I was checking my eligibility to vote and discovered that my history showed my ballot was provisional 11/2/2004. I generally use curbside voting due to
mobility issues. Actually, it is the standing in line that is more of the issue, but you get the idea.
Can someone explain to me IF my vote was even counted? I voted early as you can tell from the date.
I always carry my drivers license and my voter card, but nobody asked for id.
I have not moved or changed my name since 1997.
I would like to participate in early voting but I don't want the chance of my vote not being counted.
If you vote early, is it always going to be a provisional ballot?
Oh, I am in NC (damnit)

I am just going to have to contact the boe and ask.

(9,992 posts)call your local Obama campaign headquarters and ask them. You can also call your county/city registrar, unless you suspect they are a Republican and that might "shade" their answer.

At least I will be able to tell my local people what boe's explanation was.
I really appreciate the suggestions.
This is too important of an election to take a chance!
