Romney Is On His Way To Losing A Second Day Of Press Coverage Due To His Pal, Richard Mourdock

This story has legs...

How ironic is it that Romney's endorsement comes out just as the nut he's endorsing says God intended pregnancies from rape.

Where do they find these clowns?

Richard Mourdock
Sharon Angle
Todd Akin

They are candidates from a century; the eighteenth century.

1. Republicans are so arrogant, they think they can phone it in with any loser of a candidate

because they think the electorate are too stupid to figure out they are being lied to.

3. I bet Luger is having a great day laughing his ass off

The teabaggers primaried him for Mourdock and took a seat that was absolutely a safe Repub Senate seat and turned it into a probable Dem pickup, plus the added national dividend headache it clearly is giving Romney and all the other Repub candidates.

If I were Luger I'd be lighting up a good cigar, sipping some good cognac and just relaxing in my easy chair laughing.

6. I'm Not The Bipartisan Type But Lugar Was Very Well Respected On Both Sides Of The Aisle

I used to be bipartisan but Republicans mistake moderation and conciliation for weakness.

11. According to Mourdock, yes. Said so in a mailer I received earlier this month.

According to Lugar, no.

Since Lugar is a statesman, he stopped short of calling him a mouth breathing, booger eating trogladyte.

He and his twerp running mate are no longer giving interviews, and will not do so until after election. I don't think that will go over well with many in the press.

the possibility of negative press or interactions with Obama supporters. This worked for W in 2004 but he was an incumbent. I think it probably hurts Romney.

7. He is Getting It Good Too!

While in Cincinnati, he was asked about Mourdock and he refused to make a comment about it. His campaign is still running the ads they cut on Monday too.

Pander Bear in full effect - won't say anything against him personally (let the campaign do that) and won't address the controversy. Does he look "presidential" now?

8. Romney endorsed him to help nail down Indiana and flip the Senate to R so he deserves what he gets.

He will still get Indiana but the flak can't be helping him with women in the battleground states.

12. Actually, it's no longer due to Mourdock...it's all on Romney's inability to grow a spine now

Kelly Ayotte had the decency to refuse to appear with Mourdock at a campaign event after the comments.

If somone who was supposedly on the short-list for VP can cancel a one-off joint appearance then someone who is running for POTUS can at minimum request that his endorsement advertisement be pulled off the air.

Again, Mitt proves he's a gutless wonder who refuses to call out any part of a base that's going to vote for him anyway even if they have to supress their gag-reflex to do so.

At least this is what Ryan and his ilk believe. Who knows what Romney "believes?"
