Joe Scarborough had his sad face on today...bwahahaha

Yes, the REpublican-love-fest between Joe and his party isn't enough to wipe away the reality that is the new Time OH poll in which Obama is up 5 points.

"It's a heavy lift," says Joe.

Now the best they can do is run up the popular vote and try to give Obama's likely victory less shine....Romney doesn't have a ground game, and is relying on each state's Republican party for GOTV.

Read'em and weep, Joe!

If he runs and has to leave the show, I hope they give it to Mika. She will have the chance to come into her own and may actually surprise everyone by doing a good job.

Joe pretty much had to admit that at 12 days out a 5 point lead for Obama in Ohio (as indicated by the new Time poll) is more significant than if it was 2 months out. There was none of the bluster and bluff of the past few days by anyone on the set. Mika just sat there looking like the cat that ate the canary.

I predict more gloom on the set as things are looking much better for the President. They tried to find a "path to 270 for Romney" by looking at Nevada (assuming Obama takes Ohio based on current polling) and they got nowhere with that scenario. They wouldn't even speculate about it using Nevada simply because it is not a plausible path and the numbers in the polls are just not there. If Romney's team tries to push the notion that they are "winning", they are going to have a harder time convincing anyone that they are serious. In fact, they are going to appear very, very foolish if they keep touting that line.

Yes, the next few weeks should be really fun. Joe is sobering up and facing reality. Love to hear him enumerate the mistakes the republicans have made now that it's becoming clearer the path to victory is not theirs!

Fortunately, a number of the other panelists at the time pointed out that as deeply divided as this country is the last thing we need now is a election decided by Congress or the courts.

He almost makes me want to puke every time he does that whine of his.

Watching Mika look to the camera for help, as if to ask "are there any babysitters out there interested in taking care of this whiny, little baby" is priceless.

like Joe. Of all the conservative nutters, he seems to be somewhat intelligent 'some' of the time. He will actually call out Senators when they say dumb crap concerning women's issues. He has even gotten criticized by fellow conservatives for it. BUT I cant stand when he says " When I was in politics" or "when I was running for office...." Plus he has got Mika sitting next to him so that will make anyone look better. She is one hot lady!!!! Anyway, there for a few weeks he had a spark in his eye, but I think him along with some of the other conservatives have started seeing the writing on the wall (ecspecially after yesterdays Debacle)

Opie's alright, and Jim Norton I enjoy (when he's not being a prick), but that will be epic to behold.
