Yes, gentle reader it's time once again for the Halloween mask poll.

Halloween mask sales predict Obama win 60-40

Spirit Halloween has accurately predicted the election winner by charting national mask sales since it started keeping track in 1996. .

Also:

Big Bird costumes have been flying off the shelves since the first presidential debate,

1. One of those is scary in DC (or any other urban or educated area), but not in Rural 'Murka.

Same goes for Big Bird (and, especially, Bert and Ernie).

As was heard on NPR over the weekend: ""Binders full of women" is the dirtiest thing Mitt Romney has ever said in his life." O.K., but I don't want to crawl into that mind and be traumatized for life.

3. Once again, this underlines what I said in my Obama Landslide thread

In that thread I proclaimed a 20% lead in the Popular Vote for President Obama. Minimum of 15%.
I posted this thread on Wednesday October 10th.

ELECTION SPOILER: Obama wins in a LANDSLIDE

First 7-Eleven's 7-Election tally (Obama 59%, Romney 41% as of October 22nd), then a recent Reuters poll predicting landslide & now this.

A 60 to 40 tally is DEAD on with my 15-20% margin. 20 points exactly.

I can't wait to hear my views validated.
There's so much disbelief on my thread predicting landslide for Obama.

4. The problem is every time something like this comes up there's a knee jerk reaction...

There seems to be a LOT of people here that act like DU members are going to look at this and think, "Well, I guess I don't need to bother voting after all. I can just kick back and watch Obama win over a 12-pack of cheap beer and good buds."

5. I remember dressing up as George Bush, Sr. on Halloween '92.

I had a pair of big floppy glasses which I slit two small holes into the mask which I slipped the handles thru and over my ears. I wore grey slacks and a navy-blue blazer, just like Bush used to wear. I had SO much fun that night (but not nearly as much fun as I had four nights later when Clinton kicked Bush's ass out of office!!!)

Maybe I'll go as a zygote? Or a rape kit? How about a pack of birth control pills? Nope, wait! I've got it! I'll go as a transvaginal probe! Yeah, that's the ticket to "Best Costume" hands down!!
