President Barack Obama to vote early for presidential election
WASHINGTON: President Barack Obama would cast his ballot on Friday for the November 6 US presidential elections, thus becoming the first US President to vote early in the country's electoral history.
Obama, 51, will stop in Chicago during his 48-hour tour of several key battle ground states of Colorado, Ohio, Nevada and Virginia.
"I am going to stop in Chicago to vote before this 48-hour day is done," Obama said.
"I can't tell you who I'm voting for. It's a secret ballot. But Michelle (Obama) says she voted for me. That's what she said," Obama said.

If it is good enough for President Obama, perhaps we all should do it.

Too bad my state (AL) would rather have us stand in line for a few hours on a work day.

The only way to avoid the lines here is to vote absentee and you are only allowed to do that under a narrow set of circumstances. Alabama has an anti-Obamacare amendment on the ballot by the way.

It is great the Obama's are promoting early voting. This is the best way for us to get an upper hand and avoid some of the Election Day chicanery. I hope early spreading grows across the country. States like WA have it right.
