Florida Flawed Ballots

http://fldemocracy2012.com/2012/10/23/teams-begin-processing-flawed-absentee-ballots/

RIVIERA BEACH- Nine teams started Monday on a process that would last through Election Day: copying and processing thousands of flawed absentee ballots.
Of the absentee ballots that have been returned to the county, 8,000 of them were unreadable by machines. They must be individually copied by humans to go back into the machines.
Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections Susan Bucher said, “We’re just here to make an exact duplicate of the ballot.”
Bucher says the issue came from the printer in Arizona, and that fault does not lie with the county. <SNIP>

They're obviously designed to slow people down at the polls and discourage folks from waiting in line.

I have two Masters degrees and an Ivy league degree and I had to read thru each question 2 times just to make sure i understood what was being asked.

and I am a political junkie. And I cast a vote on a ballot proposition that I wish I could have back this year.

To confuse and slow down the voting process.

Note to those who haven't voted yet:
It is not necessary to read the amendments.
Vote "NO" on ALL the amendments.
Vote "YES" on the Judge retentions.

This will save time and speed up voting, thus greater chances of success for Dems. Pass the word.

I have a MBA and am a doctoral student. Because I watch the issues closely, I only have to struggle on one or two. We had 9 initiatives this year and I knew how I was going to vote before I got my ballot on 7 of the 9. Only voted yes on 4. My general rule of thumb is if after studying the issues I still have doubts I'll vote no to be on the safe side.

It helps that Oregon has vote by mail so we can take our time reading through stuff before marking our ballot. The first 5 years I voted I went to a physical polling place and haven't done so since. Voted by email in both the primary and general election this year since I'm an overseas absentee voter.

If it comes down to FL again, we might never find out what the results of the elections are.
