Palin stoops to 'shuck and jive' (Another RW carnival shill shamelessly vies for some publicity)

Sorry to give this space on DU, but I agree - at times, attention must be paid. ~ pinto

Palin stoops to 'shuck and jive'

As a rule, I make a deliberate and conscious effort to ignore the former half-term governor of Alaska. But once in a great while, attention must be paid.

Let's put aside, at least for now, the fact that the latest Benghazi revelations appear to be entirely uninteresting, and even the most unhinged White House critics are yet to document any administration "lies" associated with last month's attack.

Let's instead ponder a fairly straightforward, two-part question: "Shuck and jive"? Seriously?

It's quite possible that Palin just isn't informed enough to understand the phrase she used (more than once), so Alex Halperin referenced the Urban Dictionary.

As Jeffrey Goldberg concluded, Palin's choice of words "isn't an example of a racist dog-whistle because it's too obviously racist to be considered code."

He now wants college transcripts and passport forms. Code for "he is different" IE black.

Then she opens her big mouth.

Shameful racist. I'm hoping that the Grifter Don Trump can separate her from her new found wealth, so that she can go back to dumpster diving for her "fabulous" wardrobe.

This phrase was used frequently in this red-neck sit com...without issue...

Yeah - might sound little different directed toward Obama...but the Dukes called each other out for "shuckin and jivin" frequently.

I dont consider it to be "too obviously racist to be considered code." - not even close...

Sister Sarah got beat in a beauty contest when she was going to college in Hawaii by a black girl, and she never got over it.
She dropped out of that college the very next semester.

Then, 4 years ago, when she was picked out of obscurity to be McCain's running mate, she got beat by the 1st black man to become the President of the United States of America.

Sister Sarah will go down in history as the VP candidate of the losing ticket of the 2008 election.
And she is still bitter about it.
