I hope our man finds some time to get some rest and take care of himself!

He is doing a ton right now! Interviews left and right, flying all over the place...

Need to get at least some sleep, avoid getting sick, and avoid losing that voice.

He's probably running on adrenaline right now, but I bet that Michelle makes sure that he has some down time.

I went to bed elated, woke up suicidal. Well, almost suicidal. Anyway, it's a really bad, bad feeling.

That election turned fast. I remember everyone was giddy early, but around 8:00 my time (Mountain), things started looking pretty bleak.

All the states then somehow went to Bush. I think the chances of all the exit polls being wrong were astronomical. It made no sense. But there it was.

I remember that day well. I remember being confident, but also a bit nervous because the exit polls didn't make sense.

Like Kerry being +20 in Pennsylvania (an even larger margin than Obama won the state in a landslide), +18 in Minnesota, +8 in Wisconsin. It just didn't make sense compared to the early polling done leading up to the election. Had Kerry won PA by 20, he would've won in a landslide. I don't think, even if Bush hadn't stolen the election, Kerry wins it in a landslide.

The exit polls were wrong all over the map - not just OH and FL.

I went to bed early because I had been celebrating a wee bit too much all day. I was that confidant that Shrub was toast. That's when I learned never to underestimate the ignorance of the American voter. Actually, I walked in the bedroom and pretty much passed out on the bed. Why lie? Anyway, I was in the bag and thought the election was too. When I woke up I learned the ugly truth through the fog of my world class hangover. It was a horrible, horrible experience.

too worried. 2004 was a very different election. Lots of people supported the Iraq War back then.

And despite that, Bush barely squeaked out a victory.

Not sleeping will greatly increase the chances of making a gaffe while addressing a crowd. In a race this close, one slip of the lip could change the outcome of the election.

Mr. President, GO TO SLEEP AT NIGHT!!!

I think that was more in 1992. These people exhaust themselves campaigning. Not something I would be into. But my chances of running for President are pretty slim.

I am sure he will take care of himself. He has a lot of good people around him.

At the end of that campaign, when Clinton had only a raspy whisper, it inspired me. I just got the feeling, like a lot of others did, that this guy was putting his body through the grinder. And at the end of the day, people will work hard for those who are willing work hard also.

I was 8 at the time so I don't remember it that well, but a few years ago, I remember watching a video of Hillary introducing Bill at a rally right before the 1992 election and saying that his voice was a little hoarse...it was exciting. But maybe because I knew how that election was going to turn out.

I agree, though...there is something exciting about the way he's going all in, although I wish the media would stop portraying it as desperate.
