2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumBernie is a very worthy candidate, but...
he is too old (74). Could he even last one term without tiring out? He looks tired now.

Man--Sanders is annoying, though--he stares straight ahead and waves that right arm. That finger keeps going up, he can't just LET SOMEONE TALK. He always has to BIGFOOT. It's so rude.

(8,791 posts)I will NEVER vote for him.

Interesting take on the debate, here:

Hes answered that question in the past. By saying he only registered as Dem to placate the media.
He can't even pretend to want to lead the Party in which he's competing for the nomination. SMH

(14,255 posts)The clot was potentially serious, blocking a vein that drains blood from the brain. Untreated, such blockages can lead to brain hemorrhages or strokes. Treatment consists mainly of blood thinners to keep the clot from enlarging and to prevent more clots from forming, and plenty of fluids to prevent dehydration, which is a major risk factor for blood clots.
And one of her aides, Huma Abedin, has described Hillary as easily or often confused.
So, I will stick with Bernie.
Also - the reason i do not support Hillary is her penchant for war and fracking and the TPP, amongst other things, and I don't tyhink she means to do well by social security. These things mean that Hillary is absolutely not a possible substitute for my support, no matter what the age difference is.
ISSUES. I don't like Hillary on the ISSUES.

And this is coming from supposed Dems and leftists!!

(1,163 posts)Now that by itself isn't a disqualified, but if you want to go to the health topic, you might want to look at all the candidates.
Sanders is in better shape, by far.

(4,465 posts)His focus is too narrow. It's always the same thing with him.
She has a broad focus and broad knowledge , very practical.
Plus he's 74. Not good.
djean111
(14,255 posts)His focus is not narrow. It pretty much encompasses everything.
Well, some may like that Hillary constantly changes stances and positions. All the time, depending on who is being pandered to, polls, and focus groups.
I sure do not.
Her focus has been war. And fracking. And the TPP. Things that are bad for everyone.
Plus, she has had health problems. Not good.
Looks like ageism is the meme of the day. Again.

(1,895 posts)Obviously you know little about the process of ageing. My grandmother was 87 sharp when she passed away. I know a 98 year old that is also sharp. Then there are young people who don't have it and never did.

(15,189 posts)This is silly. Hillary has medical issues getting up stairs as Bernie is seen running through metro. Hillary is the one that time is taking it's toll on. And he must be tired now. Even if he were 50 he'd be tired now.

I am worried about Hillary's neoliberal economic policies and slavering hunger for war.

Oh, he does not remember. Yes, at this age one starts having problems with memory.
