Hilarious, particularly when he shows how they should have cut to a black crowd roaring with laughter.

(5,811 posts)Bill Clinton's Whitewater and Lewinsky attorney was AA power lawyer Vernon Jordan. As a matter of fact Bill and Hillary and the Obamas danced the night away at Vernon Jordan's BD party last year. Bill DeBlasio used the term to mean cautious politician time which I thought was hilarious. As everyone knows Bill's wife is a beautiful chocolate AA woman. Bill Clinton who grew up attending a black church in the south probably heard CP time all the time, which means colored people's time, which my AA mother used regularly to admonish us not to be late for anything. Africans Americans have become global cultural icons so it makes sense that EuroAmericans would appropriate our language even when it is not meant for them. I don't see it as racist. I see it as recognizing our socio-cultural power. However, trying to stop black people from voting or referring to their votes as votes that don't matter because it's the conservative south is racist. Having Cornel West as your AA outreach person is racist particularly since he has such a deep and abiding hatred of President Obama whom Black America considers AA royalty.
Most AA peeps are gonna laugh at this nonsense and recognize it for what it is - BULLSHIT.
What is important to me? Bill DeBlasio and his wife raised two biracial AA children who were accepted to Ivy league colleges. HRC and Bill raised a daughter who is a Rhode scholar and has a PhD. They are both excellent role models for raising children to their very best selves. HRC is not afraid of #BlackExcellence #BlackWealth #BlackLegacy or #BlackPower and I know this because AA folks have always been part of her power network.
Instead of wasting our time and feels on bullshit like this we need to make sure every AA person eligible to vote is registered to VOTE and VOTES like their life depends on it because it does.

And why are you posting racist claptrap like AA's are such a monolith in support of Obama, that having Cornel West as a supporter of Bernie Sanders is an insult to all AA's? AA's can't think for themselves and have different opinions?

(5,811 posts)I'm not a superdelegate. I'm a poor person who is happily retired and enjoys the freedom that comes with NOT having to work. I will vote for HRC in the primary because she is the MOST qualified candidate. Hopefully I will do so again in the general election.
