Am I the only one who's ever notice how black people are always late to stuff?

Like not offensively late, just kind of humorously late, always, like they run on their own time??

See, because they aren't like US, they are different!! FUNNY RIGHT?!

I hope you all realize how unacceptable it is for the Mayor of New York City to be propagating these kind of stereotypes.

I left one and possibly responded a bit too harshly to it because I am sick and tired of being called racist for supporting Bernie...mine got hidden though. It was cathartic though. I do think the OP on this thread should edit it a bit more, since the thing he is referring too is more of a taboo for me because it is people of power using other's minority status to cash in for their own gains. It seemed like an attempt to seem credible to the community they are touting, but at the same times the ease at which they did it was how a privileged person would handle a lesser person's issues, like a rich Duke telling a butler that works for him how he is also tired from his long day of work (even-though the butler has been working since the break or dawn and will not retire until after him). It seemed very out of touch, a bit to flippant with the term. I still don't see it as overt racism but it has been in the press a bit longer than I expected.

candidate choice. You are willing to ignore the fact that a) the Mayor of New York City, just said Colored People Time, or at least alluded to it to the point where we ALL understood what he said b) a democrat was using a racial stereotype to poke fun at an entire group of people and c) it was scripted, vetted and no one in either adminstration said maybe it was out of line.

I promise you if that in de Blasio was a Bernie supporter I would still be just as upset at his comment. This isn't a Hillary/Bernie thing this is a big D democrat thing. What do we consider to be a public dialogue that is acceptable.

I for one do not want the Mayor of New York to feel comfortable making jokes about race, no matter how banal, considering the cities history with marginalizing minorities.

The Clintons are back to their usual tricks: divide on race and play to the side you need at the time.

144. Have you criticized anything about Bernie's campaign so far?
Wed Apr 13, 2016, 09:08 AM
Apr 2016

It just really seems like Bernie's fans defend him 100 percent and Hillary's fans do likewise for her.

In this case, it seems like the people who are critical of Hillary's appearance at this show are those who already don't like her and the people defending her are those who do like her.

Similarly, with the Vatican thing, the people who were critical of Bernie there were those who already don't like him and the people defending him were those who do like him.

Generally speaking, that is how things seem to play out here with respect to the candidates.

West is too inflammatory and Bernie doesn't need a loose cannon, since he's already on the edge politically. My only defense of that is Bernie can't control what other people say, but he did make a mistake enlisting West.

He should have already released his tax returns. I don't understand what the hold up is on that. Failure to do so is a big negative. He deserves criticism for the delay and I cannot defend it.

His plans do need some fleshing out to make people more comfortable (or to give his opponent less of an easy target). Personally I see no problem with what he has proposed but I recognize others might.

He hasn't run a perfect campaign obviously.

I do think my point is still valid. There are definitely some folks on both sides who are willing to be critical of their candidate from time to time. However, I think, for the most part, there are some double standards at play on both sides. That is to say that Hillary fans give Hillary a pass on things that they would jump on Bernie for and vice versa. Don't you think?
