2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumJoe and Mika --- the world is upside down
I have hated Joe and Mika but lately, when they talk to Bernie or about him they are GREAT. The world is upside down.
They are talking about his first rally in Brooklyn and talking about how huge the crowd is and how joyful the people look and how diverse, etc. Stuff you NEVER see on MSM. It is unbelievable.
Tell me if you don't think this is some of the best reporting on Bernie's campaign you have ever seen.
This is a better one.

(11,989 posts)The actual number of votes is not a factor. Same as when Bush "beat" Gore. The decision will ultimately be based on other things. For that matter, she had more votes than Obama in 2008, too. The way the system is set up, it means nothing.

(6,007 posts)They are the only ones to tell it like it is. It is wonderful to see. It has nothing to do with your pre-conceptions about things. It is about their reporting and it is fantastic.

Is that a bad thing?

(22,974 posts)Please do not be fooled by the veneer. Stop watching corporate propaganda. You are being indoctrinated, whether or not you know it.
pdsimdars
(6,007 posts)When they show the pictures of Bernie's Yuuuuuge crowds, and say they are awesome. . . clearly corporate propaganda, when they call large crowds large.
And when they say they all seem to be very happy and "joyfull" and point out the diversity in the crowd (as they show you the pictures of the happy, diverse people) . . . . clearly propaganda.
Glad you alerted me. I might have been fooled by accurate reporting. Whew! Barely escaped that bullet!
I mean, if reporting about an event exactly as it is, if that is propaganda, then that is one word I have misunderstood all my life.

(6,007 posts)This is a nice video. If you choose not to watch it, fine, I don't care. But don't make observations on something you don't bother to check out.
Don't bother me with your lame nonsense. Watch the video and then maybe you can comment on it. Until then, you got nothing to stand on, in case you didn't know that.

(22,974 posts)has a thin veneer of objectivity and honesty, covering up the lies and deceit. This little Sanders video represents a bone they throw to make you happy, before they start lying to you again. I encourage you to stop watching corporate propaganda and watch Free Speech TV and Democracy Now, etc. They have Sanders videos there too, but it's not the side dish on a steaming hot plate of horseshit like you get at MSNBC.
And yes, grow the fuck up.

(6,007 posts)And name calling isn't exactly the most mature way to handle things.
You might want to check your definition of "growing up" if you think it means commenting on things you know nothing about. To me, a minimum in this area is that you either don't comment on something or you look into it so you know what you are talking about BEFORE you talk about it. Just my crazy kind of thinking.

(15,435 posts)Joe/Mike whoever or what their agenda, it's just FANTASTIC hearing ANYONE giving him air time and POSITIVE discussion rather than "all things negative!"
They didn't ay anything that's not true, so how can you argue with these FACTS??? And if you do, I find it a bit delusional or just out and out MEAN!
