Are Hillary's supporters here prepared for a Republican White House,

should their favored candidate win the nomination? I certainly hope so, but if not, know that you can always come to DU to complain about Bernie Sanders not supporting her earlier on, BECAUSE SEXISM, "there is a vast right-wing conspiracy", etc.

Clinton supporters say that general election polling isn’t accurate in April. Unfortunately, we know from hard data that that’s not correct. In fact, according to studies, we’re right in the middle of a spike in general-election polling accuracy — right now, as in this minute. As Vox notes, “By the time we get to mid-April of an election year, polls explain about half the variance in the eventual vote split. And mid-April polls have correctly ‘called’ the winner in about two-thirds of the cases since 1952.”

Also much less will be voting against Bernie, on the other hand I think we will see tons of Hillary haters showing to vote to defeat her if she ends up as our candidate.

I know that few on this site who have backed one or the other person will change their mind at this point, I would hope that we could start presenting the positive aspects of what our party can do to win the down ticket races this fall.

Some might consider this heresy, but as long as a Senator is a Democrat we should work to get that Senator elected. The Senate is controlled by the majority party. If Democrats control the majority, they will support a Democratic President's agenda and fight the legislative Agenda set by the house of Representatives.

The Presidential Candidates and their campaigns can raise money for Senatorial Candidates, and once we have a nominee, set a national agenda.

Finally, we should go to work with our local Democratic Party to Get Out the Vote.

For years, I have reached out to older Democrats and other to get them to the polls. This year, I have become acquainted with a number of citizens who did not intend to vote. I am having an election party for people who can show they voted.

LATER when our nominee is chosen, THAT is when to talk about supporting our nominee.

I don't think any of the people who constantly bring up this same tired issue are really concerned with where they stand on the issues, they are too fixated on thier candidate. To me, that says you really can't defend your candidate on their positions. Period.

These are all traits, by the way, that I find acceptable in a candidate, but have made the deliberate decision that the general electorate will not view him as kindly.

If you want to support Trump or Cruz, just support them. Knock off the threats. How is it that you all are willing to do anything except work on turning out the vote for your candidate?

Bernie can't win the GE because he can't win the nomination. It's really not that complicated. And yes, a number of men will vote for the GOP because they don't want a woman president. Just as a number of women will vote Democrat because they don't want to see being a woman criminalized or have their rights stripped away. But guess what? No one, absent those really hoping for a Trump presidency or furious because the electorate didn't vote for Bernie, thinks the GOP will beat Clinton. The GOP doesn't think they will win. At this point their concern is about how badly they will be hurt down ballot.

What is it exactly that pisses you off so much? That women dare to question sexism and patriarchy rather than staying in their place? That anyone dares support Hillary rather than Bernie? The fact is Bernie is losing. He's not going to win, and Hillary will be the nominee. You are simply going to have to deal with that fact.
