Hillary Clinton diverts from campaign trail for more fundraisers

http://www.wptz.com/politics/hillary-clinton-diverts-from-campaign-trail-for-more-fundraisers/38987334

Hillary Clinton and family are spending much of April on the fundraising circuit.

The Democratic front-runner will travel to Florida on Tuesday to raise money, headlining three fundraisers in the Sunshine State in the middle of her fight to win the New York primary on April 19. Former President Bill Clinton and daughter Chelsea Clinton have five more events scheduled this month as well.

The events highlight an issue for Clinton: In order to raise the money needed to keep her campaign on track, Clinton has to invest considerable time by making personal appearances at events across the country.

From January to March, Clinton-headlined events -- 48 fundraisers in 19 different states -- brought in more than $30 million, according to CNN estimates. Overall, Clinton's campaign says it raised $75 million during the first three months of 2016.

So the takeaway here is that when Bernie rakes in cash it's good, when Hillary does, it is bad. Tarc Apr 2016 #1

I'm beginning to get the gist of this "democratic socialist" thing; they like money, unless someone else has it.

....was illegally accepted. Nothing. You folks can keep carrying on about that foundation, but it's not going to accomplish anything, and they've done nothing improper or illegal. On the other hand, they've provided almost a billion dollars of funding for humanitarian programs around the world.

12. Definition of divert:
Tue Apr 12, 2016, 04:52 PM
Apr 2016
transitive verb
1 a : to turn from one course or use to another

Since her course was planned a while back to go from New York to Florida, it's not a turn from her course - she's still on course.

So, since you're so concerned about Clinton's schedule, how do you feel about Sanders' last minute change of plans since he is now going to the Vatican in a few days?

Bernie is diverting /temporarily/ to make a key speech on poverty in the Vatican and will return to New York within 12 hours after the Vatican. He'll be exhausted, but he will keep on fighting for us.

Is that a fundraiser? Is she getting paid for that speech?

It's only $150 per plate, a bargain compared to most HRC speeches.

I just don't know if Clinton gets a cut.

$150 per plate and there should be 10,000 diners.
