Bernie again, refuses to release entire tax return, too busy (what to pull it out of a file?)

Sanders refuses again to release taxes, blames wife
http://americablog.com/2016/04/sanders-refuses-release-taxes-blames-wife.html

Bernie Sanders told CNN’s Jakes Tapper today that he can’t yet release his tax returns, even though his challenger Hillary Clinton has released eight year’s worth of such returns, because Sanders’ wife Jane does their taxes, and she’s been too busy with the campaign to get to them.

Tapper expressed surprise that Sanders, who is running as a “new” kind of candidate who is super transparent about his finances, is hiding his tax returns at such a crucial point in the Democratic primaries.

It'll probably take them at least until California primary is over...LOL!

After all, that year he probably earned almost the equivalent of a single speech to Wall Street.

The whole exercize is a joke because we can already see that his only real source of income is is Senate Salary. We already knew about that. We want to see tax returns usually so that we can see who else is paying them or what their possible conflicts of interest might be. Bernie isnt being paid to represent anyone but us. He doesnt have any conflicts to disclose.

tax returns are private, right?

The IRS can only release them under very specific conditions with a court order. This process of Presidential candidates releasing their most recent returns start just a few decades ago. Sanders will release them once they get home.

Do me a favor. Look up how much heel dragging there was from the Clintons in the 1992 campaign about their tax returns. They did not end up releasing all past years until 1994 due to the Whitewater financial fiasco.

They will release them. They have stated why not now, and they have state when.

Nope, you missed the mark, because you either wilfully ignored it or were to young to remember.

The issue was their previous years filings that had to do with Whitewater.

http://www.nytimes.com/1994/03/26/us/clintons-release-tax-data-showing-land-deal-losses.html

They lied about their losses even on tax returns and that is part of what led to Whitewater investigation.

So yeah, I am cool with the Sanders waiting until after NY to get home and TurboTax this years and print up a few of the past few years compared to the lying, cheating, financial shenanigans of the Clintons.

When will she release the tax records of her many shell companies?

Likely as soon as she releases those speeches that are so meaningless she is afraid to release them.

Turbotax software is what they use (lots of people don't use the online crap because it has been hacked more than once) and Jane Sanders will get you your files when she gets home, as she has consistently said, at which point you will conflate or make up some other false "scandal" as per David Brock's marching orders because what they reveal will disappoint you since there is no dirt in a clean house.

Since there are no real scandals to use against Bernie Sanders some people resort to non issues, conflation, and outright lies to invent them as a tactic to divert attention from the many very real scandals Of both Bill and Hillary Clinton. Ironically tax evasion via multiple shell companies are among them as well as an ongoing FBI investigation and separate intelligence community investigations.

There is something very sad about your behavior. No, I take that back as you are more likely just parroting a known liar and slut shaming blame the victim sexist slime that goes by the Name of David Brock and "you just don't get it", but do parrot the deceitful talking points that you are so drunk on Brock-aid that you may even believe are something more than baseless bullshit attacks and Rovian style talking points.

When you decide to run for the highest office it is not enough to conduct a Millennial poll to find out that they want free education and free health care and free cereal for the rest of their lives.

You have to know that your financial affairs would be scrutinized. Certainly being in public office for so many years should have prepared you for this.

So, no, releasing only the two summary page of 1040 is not adequate. To have done this shows how much you think of the intelligence of the American people and, worse, that you can get away with it.

Having itemized deductions of $53 K with an income of $209k - way above the average - should create questions. And that you continue to evade it, I am glad that Sanders is finally getting the scrutiny he deserved a long time ago.

Releasing of tax returns is an unspoken recent tradition for candidates. They will release a few years worth when they run. He has had no need until now to do so. Especially since his financial disclosures as a Senator cover all of the pertinent information. Those have been available for over a decade now, and if there were any issues it would have appeared then and been investigated.

I am going to love watching each and every one of y'all eating crow when he releases them and they are just the normal old fillings with nothing out of the ordinary. So looking forward to it!
