2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forum5 of the next 6 states are fully closed primaries worth 607 pledged delegates
To date delegates awarded via fully closed primaries:
Clinton - 224 (63.5%)
Sanders - 129 (36.5%)
Just some food for thought.

(68,868 posts)But I still see the biggest three going for Clinton by double digits. Between 65 and 85 net delegates between those three. Lead could very well be over 300 pledged delegates by then.

(6,007 posts)Bernie got 72% of independents and usually gets 20-30% of the Republican vote in Vermont. Hillary will never do that.
And Bernie beats all of the GOP candidates by double digits whereas Hillary only beats Trump in the head to head polls, and by much less than Bernie.
The GE is the important one. That's why I have some questions about closed primaries, they won't give you the best candidate for the GE.

(369 posts)Seems to have the "momentum" going into the next string of primaries. I expect she wins by 10-17 points in NY effectively putting Sanders away.

(6,007 posts)I agree with you, this is a tough time. I hope the tide has changed enough to pull him through. But in my heart of hearts, I feel very calm about this and that is a good sign.
