Politics USA: Obama goes on Fox and blows away the GOP’s Hillary Clinton email conspiracy theory.

Obama shot down and destroyed the GOP’s Hillary Clinton email conspiracy theory, and quickly tamed the Fox News paper tiger.

After part one of the interview aired, Fox News Sunday went to Karl Rove, who tried his whimpering best to revive numerous bogus Republican Obama scandals,

<snip>

Rove tried to tie together the bogus IRS scandal, the more bogus Black Panther Party claim, and the Hillary Clinton email scandal. Obama tore through a Fox News interview like he was talking to himself in the mirror and all Karl Rove could answer with is debunked Republican conspiracies.

The Obama/Fox News Sunday interview revealed the toothless nature of conservative media. Fox News talked a big game about interviewing the President, but when they got the opportunity, the network never stood a chance against Obama.

Yet Republicans hate him. It reminds of the scene from "6 years a slave movie" where the "slave" character makes the slave master look stupid. That enraged the slave master to no end.

to have someone so competent representing our party after the 8 years prior to his presidency. No matter what the pundits or what his adversaries in government do or say to try to box him in a corner, he has come out ahead. I'm amazed.

“I continue to believe that she has not jeopardized America’s national security, now what I’ve also said, and what she’s acknowledged here’s a carelessness in terms of managing emails that she has owned, and she has recognized, but I also think it’s important to keep this in perspective. This is somebody that has served her country for four years as Secretary of State and done an outstanding job. And no one has suggested in some ways as a consequence of how she handled emails that that detracted from her excellent ability to carry out her duties.”

Not really a ringing endorsement of innocence there...

None. Period. He is a sitting president with a subordinate under an active and ongoing investigation by the FBI. He should not be saying something is illegal or not. He should have said I am sorry this is an ongoing investigation, and it would be inappropriate for me to comment.

Now Obama has stepped into the politics of it. His bias is now clearly known.

the proceedings, then he is implicitly over-riding the FBI's investigatory autonomy and imposing his own verdict, ahead of their release of their findings and conclusions.

If he has been privy, then this says the FBI investigation was not independent.

Either way, it will only further incentivize the GOP to pursue this with vigor

because it will now appear as if it was politicized. Rather than appearing the victim, HRC will
appear as the devious and imperious villain, who is above the law. It will ignite a firestorm
of lawsuits and unending turmoil.

he did NOT say she did not put the country in jeopardy, only that she didn't MEAN to. if she did, whether meaning to or not, she still committed a crime. intent only adds a more serious charge.

If it was a unintentional and not due to "gross negligence" then its not a crime. Its my understanding that the accidental mishandling of classified information is fairly common among high level government staff.

i have no idea which one, where someone posted the criminal definition. it did not require intent. many here who work with sensitive info have said that if they had handled info this way they would be at least fired and probably prosecuted.

but only the fbi knows at this point the criminality or not of any of these acts.

Benghazi was bullshit, but there are serious, legitimate problems with the way Hillary handled emails while SOS. No telling what the DOJ will do, but I'd be amazed if the FBI doesn't recommend prosecuting someone, and it won't be the IT guy.
