http://www.duluthnewstribune.com/news/politics/4005967-nolan-says-hell-support-sanders-conventionUS Rep. Rick Nolan announced Saturday that he will support Bernie Sanders for president at the Democratic National Convention in July in Philadelphia.
The Democratic Party is fortunate to have two qualified presidential candidates, both of whom offer substantive solutions to the problems facing Americans, Nolan, D-Crosby, said in a news release. Ive considered a number of factors in making this decision, including the will of Minnesota caucus attendees, specifically those in the 8th Congressional District. Bernies message and his authenticity appeals to voters here, and it appeals to me. Ill be proud to cast my vote for him in Philadelphia this summer.
Nolan is a so-called superdelegate a delegate free to support either candidate, Sanders or Hillary Clinton, at the convention, and not bound by the results of a caucus or primary. The website Politico reported that Nolan joins two other Minnesota superdelegates to back Sanders Reps. Keith Ellison and Collin Peterson are the others supporting the Vermont senator who won Minnesotas caucuses. Clinton, the former secretary of state, holds a large lead in the national superdelegate total.

Thank you Mr. Nolan for having the courage to stand with Senator Sanders even in the threat of joining others bold enough to cross Clinton and end up on her hit list.
