Have you noticed the Bernie or Busters trying to pretend to care about the General?

The level of desperation seems to have reached an all-time high, what with all the recent Pinocchios and the realization that Bernie is out of white caucus states (and the fact that in the most recent one, he netted zero delegates).

So now they're trying to argue that Clinton's wins in the South should be ignored because, you know, states like Florida aren't important in the General Election, instead we should focus on who won in Idaho and Alaska.

The irony, of course, is that BoBs don't care the least bit about the General Election. These are the same people who plan on letting Trump or Cruz win unless Bernie gets the nomination. Sorry, y'all, but after months of bashing the Democratic party and pledging to help throw the Presidency to the GOP, nobody's buying your newfound concern about electability.

the general election, nor about principles perhaps in any form.

We are fighting what we think is a good fight, for things that are worth fighting for.

If you don't choose to join in, or are fighting for something different, so be it. But don't shit on our parade. We're marching in it as long as it's viable.

It IS posts like this....the general race is ruined. It IS people who post like this, who won't be happy, until you destroy what was once one. The lies, cheating, and former records, all ignored, you are just what the corporatists need, to get what they want. So do carry on....

No matter who walks away in July.. what we have seen from each side is nothing compared to what the Republicans will dig up and throw at our candidate and quite frankly there are no super delegates to buy in the general only the public cast votes. If you have been underhanded, white-lied, over-spun, cheated and/or bought the primarys super delegates it will be exposed by the Republicans. They invented the "Rove" swift-boating expertise. the more impeccable your background the better off the democratic party is.

"On Sun Apr 10, 2016, 09:41 AM an alert was sent on the following post:

REASON FOR ALERT

This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.

ALERTER'S COMMENTS

More disruptive meta / broad brush attack / straw man from Mr. Ten Hides.

You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Sun Apr 10, 2016, 09:49 AM, and the Jury voted 1-6 to LEAVE IT.

Juror #1 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Showing your partisan hand negates the credibility of your alert. Nothing wrong with poster's opinion as evidenced by comments concerning the petulance of posters stating exactly what he has expressed in his comment.
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: It's a remarkably low quality post but probably not worth a hide.
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: I think some people need to start showing a little respect to others in the Party or they will find themselves fighting a lonely battle.
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Rather than censuring Dan perhaps you should respond to him.

Thank you very much for participating in our Jury system, and we hope you will be able to participate again in the future."

I am one of the ones who voted not to hide without an explanation because I think you have a right to an opinion just like the person who alerted does.
Now that aside I am willing to bet that the majority of DU members will be very happy when this election is over and the tiny but vocal faction of partisan posters who claim to support one of the candidates over the other fade away and disappear.

almost exactly the same thing in this very thread regarding Hillary supporters, and it was hidden?

I'll hope one of the jurors posts the reasoning given behind that decision, given the OP, it must be quite the exercise in rationalization.

on that jury but if I had been I probably would have voted to hide it because of the general rudeness just like I have voted to hide similar posts by some Hillary supporters who decide its ok to treat others like shit and trash talk people for supporting Bernie here on the DU.
In other words, people need to stop the BS and realize that both Bernie and Hillary would be good presidents in their own way and that fighting here on the DU and trash talking about the other candidate doesnt accomplish the goal of keeping the Republicans from taking the whitehouse.

as a device for smearing at others. I also notice that a very large portion of those 'supporters' in this cycle spent the 2008 cycle smearing Hillary and her supporters just as they now do to Bernie and his supporters. I find that to be utterly fascinating. Margaret Meade level anthropology type fascinating.

37. For Bernie Sanders, this is his General Election..........
Sun Apr 10, 2016, 06:41 PM
Apr 2016

Sanders knew going in that his possibility of winning the Democratic nomination for President would be a long shot, but he wanted his message to be heard by the nation as opposed to his message being constantly ignored by the Senate. The fact of the matter is that Bernie has used the Democratic Primary process to make his point, and he will hold on all the way to the convention so he can make his point again during one of the days as the key note speaker. In the end, Bernie will throw his full support behind Hillary Clinton at the Democratic National Convention knowing that she will be the best candidate going forward into the actual General Election.

The only problem here are the rabid Bernie supporters who see nothing but Bernie's good intentions and can't see past the Primary election and won't vote for anyone but Bernie even after Bernie throws all his support to Hillary after the Convention. Bernie will not run for President on an Independent ticket, there is no way he would come close to winning if he did. So this is Bernie's time, this is his General Election. He has excellent points to make and he's making them. But after this is all over after the inevitable (sorry Sanders supporters) victory of Hillary Clinton in the New York and California Primaries, Bernie Sanders will concede at the National Convention, and after the real General election, he will drop from the Democratic Party and run for re-election to his Senate seat as an Independent.
