The population of Wyoming is 584,153 (2014).

The population of New York City is 8.406 million (2013).

Wyoming votes Republican in presidential elections.
New York votes Democratic in presidential elections.

That is why Democratic candidates campaign in New York and not so much in Wyoming. That's why Wyoming has 14 delegates to the Democratic Convention and New York has 247.

That's why Wyoming's caucus results don't make much difference in who becomes the nominee of the Democratic Party. Whatever the results, that state's delegation simply doesn't count for much on the convention floor.

Numbers matter. Math matters.

I'm really not a fan of these posts that discount voters in a certain state. Agschmid Apr 2016 #1

I'd like to see them stop from both sides.
