From Wash Post..
Clinton told a rally Saturday in Brooklyn, New York, that she wants to send a strong message in the April 19 primary and start unifying the Democratic Party. She says she is 2 1/2 million votes and 220 pledged delegates ahead of rival Bernie Sanders in the race.

==============
Sounds like she is trying to make the case with NY voters to help her put Bernie away so she can focus on preparing for the general and beating the Republicans. That's a smart tactic and could very well work. That might convince alot of Hillary supporters to show up to vote who might be somewhat complacent about this primary thinking she would win regardless.
New York can make history and help send Hillary Clinton to the White House!

(1,235 posts)okay, if you say so.
Its hardly surprising that Sberbank sought the help of Democratic insiders like the Podesta Group to aid them in this difficult hour, since they clearly understand how American politics work. The question is why the Podesta Group took Sberbanks money. That financial institution isnt exactly hiding in the shadowsits the biggest bank in Russia, and its reputation leaves a lot to be desired. Nobody acquainted with Russian finance was surprised that Sberbank wound up in the Panama Papers.
Even if this was Sberbank's first ever totally clean transaction, that's still a very good question.
I mean it's not as good obviously as "who really invited Bernie to a conference on economics and environment" ... Panama Papers are only international fraud & felonies, so it's all pretty 'meh' for Hillary supporters.

(1,235 posts)for all we know Podesta is perfectly innocent as well.
But this Panama Papers are not a fake scandal, one PM (ice land) down, and another one (UK) is under serious pressure to resign.
Hell, maybe there will even be something connected to Sanders (not likely, but maybe it will be found he sat next to a corrupt senator in The Senate.)
But, at the moment, this is a close connection to the Hillary team, and another example of some really bad judgement on somebody's part.
Oh, I wouldn't worry, I'm sure there's at least a 20/40% chance the Russian bank stayed on the up-and-up for this transaction
Don't worry do, if things change I will respect your request and get back to you.

I remember marching in an anti-war rally up Seventh Avenue in front of the Republican Convention in 2004. There were 500,000 people there. When that crowd roared, it was something!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2004_Republican_National_Convention_protest_activity
United for Peace and Justice organized the main march of the week, one of the largest protests in U.S. history, in which protesters marched past Madison Square Garden, the site of the convention. The march included hundreds of separate contingents as well as individual marchers. One Thousand Coffins, a nationwide group of citizens, veterans and clergy, held a procession of one thousand full-scale flag-draped coffins commemorating the fallen troops. Several hundred members of Billionaires for Bush held a mock countermarch. Estimates of crowd size ranged from 120,000 (unnamed police spokesman) to over 500,000 (organizers, second unnamed police source).[11][12] In March, 2007 NYPD Deputy Commissioner Paul Browne stated about the RNC protests: "You certainly had 800,000 on August 29."[13]
It might be wise not to under-estimate the progressive energy of New York!

By the way, Brooklyn has 2.592 million residents, a lot of whom may lean toward their native son more than that woman from Arkansas. Do you have a plan to cancel those votes, too?
