I get very confused when people bring up Obama, or Kerry, or Gore, et al in reference to 2016.

Is Obama running for the nomination in 2016?
Is John Kerry? Al Gore?

Did Bernie run against Obama, Kerry, or Gore?

The standards Hillary Clinton are being held to are a direct reflection of the candidate she is running against. When you don't have a choice of such an ethical and principled candidate then you go for the next best. Trying to use Obama, or Kerry, or Gore as some sort of blanket insinuating that holding Hillary Clinton to the ethics and integrity of Bernie Sanders means we are hypocritical if we supported Obama, Kerry, or Gore is an absurd argument. (I personally did not vote for Obama, or Kerry (was not motivated to vote period); And was too young to vote for Gore).

So enough with tying critiques of Clinton back to prior candidates. It is an apples and oranges comparison.

Therefore the words he uses at rallies on her behalf are an extension of her campaign.

And I think it is perfectly fair for the BLM to hold the Clintons to task; It was their policies and their dog whistle language that led to the situation their generation is now facing.

Clinton runs to hide behind Obama constantly and it's pretty ridiculous. Her followers try using Kerry or Biden as shields as well.

Bill is catching grief by his own actions - blasting BLM activists, illegally campaigning in polling places, etc...

The difference is pretty obvious.

She and Bill are pushing the same agenda. Those who don't learn from history are condemned to repeat it. Both of them are fraudsters and con artists. If she worms her way into the White House, the country and the world will regret it.

Obama was blessed with the birthers and Kerry with the swift boaters. Gore won the popular vote and lost the election. I am not sure what you are saying. I see Hillary being held to her own statements. She has wrapped herself in Obama, and also stepped away from him. All her choices. I am not aware of her claiming anything re Kerry or Gore. I will keep watching. I have not been keeping really close watch. Thank you for your post.

Like the Iraq War Vote...

Or Superpacs...

Many will call us hypocritical for caring about these issues now because we may have voted for a candidate that didn't support those issues in the past. Like Obama took superpac money, Kerry voted for the Iraq War. Or the suggestion that because Bernie considered those things non-qualifiers that means that prior Presidents (and candidates) were not worthy.

All I am saying is you can't compare different election cycles. In those cycles we didn't have the choices we have today and so the principles we could base our vote on were different.

edit: Here is a perfect example: http://www.democraticunderground.com/12511684379 (Because we hold Clinton to the standard of Bernie Sanders then that means we have to throw Obama under the bus)

Kerry is being used as an excuse to for H's vote to invade Iraq, as Kerry kinda did the same thing. That vote cost Kerry and cost H too.

Many liberals did support Dean in the primary, until he dropped out. The smarter ones knew Dean was also a centrist, but at least Dean had not voted for the Iraq War Resolution.

When the choice became Kerry v. Bush, yes, Kerry was the better choice. Whether people will feel that way about HIllary if she is the nominee remains to be seen. I try to analyze why I think this time is different from the past.

One poll says 1/3 of Bernie supporters will not vote for Hillary, another says 1/4. Those numbers seem high to me. If Hillary is the nominee, we'll see.
