First they said Bernie invited himself now they're saying bernie shouldn't even go

Which is it then, if Bernie was invited to a conference on global poverty and income inequality, we were told there is no way Bernie would have been invited. he must have invited himself, as if anyone could just crash the gates into the Vatican.

The Hillary camp has been disgusting on this.

>> Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders, who says he is a "big, big fan" of Pope Francis, has accepted an invitation to speak at a conference on economic, environmental and social issues at the Vatican on April 15.

Sanders will head to Rome after his April 14 debate in Brooklyn, New York, with fellow Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton ahead of the Empire State’s presidential primary, which is scheduled for April 19.

The senator from Vermont will speak at a conference hosted by the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences.

Sen. Sanders received the invitation because of things like this right here:

>>"I was moved by the invitation, which was just made public today," Sanders said during an interview with MSNBC's 'Morning Joe.' "I'm a big, big fan of the Pope. Obviously there are areas where we disagree on—women's rights or gay rights—but he has played an unbelievable role, an unbelievable role of injecting a moral consequence into the economy."

Sanders has campaigned heavily on economic issues, excoriating Wall Street and its handmaidens in government for a "rigged" system that is designed to "benefit the wealthiest Americans in this country at the expense of everyone else."

"Greed, fraud, dishonesty and arrogance, these are the words that best describe the reality of Wall Street today," Sanders said in January.

******

For those that are not happy about this, well SHAME ON YOU! As a two-bit Catholic, I am proud that our pope has such wisdom! Pope Francis & Bernie Sanders -- the dynamic due indeed!

Bernie Sanders to Talk About the ‘Idolatry of Money’ at Vatican

Bernie Sanders will speak about the “idolatry of money” during his trip to the Vatican next week, he says.

The Vermont senator revealed his plans in an interview with the Guardian, while also praising Pope Francis for supporting economic justice.

“What the Pope has been clear about is linking the issue of morality with the global economy and making the point that you can’t have a moral economy when so many people are living in poverty,” Sanders told the paper. “He has raised the issue more than any other person on the planet and I am very proud to be with him in the Vatican.”

Sanders will be in the Vatican for a conference on April 15. It has not yet been determined whether he will have a private meeting with Pope Francis

That word, JEALOUSLY.

It is right up there with the rest of them ... greed, fraud, dishonesty and arrogance etc. !!

One thing is for sure, pope Francis didn't invite HRC. No $2500/plate speaking fees to be had for HRC there!

When someone receives an honor or is invited to attend a special event, normal people don't act this squirrelly.

Can you imagine being asked to attend a prestigious conference, and a gaggle of your co-workers gossips and insinuates that you must have invited yourself? When the conference head sends you a formal invitation, nullifying their gossip--they start making fun of you attending the conference.

They mock you. They initiate unsolicited conversations with your friends and tell them that you don't deserve to attend. That you really need to skip the conference, stay home and do your job.

This is not normal behavior. It is very bizarre. If someone behaved this way in real life, they would be the office pariah and they'd be sent to HR and most likely be advised to get some counseling.
