http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2016-election/bill-clinton-i-almost-want-apologize-exchange-black-lives-matter-n553086"Now I like and believe in protests. I'd be a hypocrite if I didn't cause I engaged in some when I was a kid," Clinton told a crowd of more than 1,000 on the campus of Penn State Behrend. "But I never thought I should drown anybody else out. And I confess, maybe it's just a sign of old age, but it bothers me now when that happens."
"So I did something yesterday in Philadelphia. I almost want to apologize for it, but I want to use it as an example of the danger threatening our country," the former president continued.
Americans need to be able to have conversations with people they agree with and keep an open mind, Clinton said. While he said he believed the two protesters who interrupted him failed to do that, he said realized he did too.
Now that the Vatican distraction is over.

(1,054 posts)be for interrupting another protester, because he believes in protests.
And, he wants to use it an example of the danger threatening our country - which I can guess either means not being able to protest, BLM interrupting him or super predators who he considers, what BLM stands for.
Yes, the rich are afraid of blacks. They probably are the biggest (fictional) danger threatening our country in his isolated charmed life.

But as the Pogues once said, apparently in reference to Dr Dan here, the drugs aren't working anymore. That's why I'm adding some weed to my alcohol intake--it's the only sensible move at this juncture.

(1,571 posts)Once you understand the con, the game is transparent. When the con man continues to play as if you do not know who he is, what he wants, and what he thinks of you...it is just sad to watch. The near-apology deserves a near-forgiveness, foiled by his sense of private privilege and disdain for the hoi polloi. And in this pointed case, his disrespect for BLM and the struggle they represent.

(1,078 posts)In a passive/aggressive sort of way? First with his strawman BS yesterday with the BLM activists, then today with "almost" wanting to apologize. He's too good of a politician to make those two huge and very basic blunders. And back to back? Shortly before the pivotal NY primary, where African-Americans are going to be voting in huge numbers. Hmm...

Seriously, Hillary apologized for her role ...I don't believe her, but at least that's politically smart ... Bill, this is just D-U-M-B.
I'm not holding this against Hillary .. If she just shuts this <derogatory names that would get this post hidden, possibly even get me banned> the hell up!!
