Margaret Archer knew Bernie was running for president, so why did you invite him?

Margaret Archer contradicts herself, he shouldn't be here, but here is an invite anyway???

I wonder if Margaret Archer would have rejected Bernie, but the pope personally invited Bernie.

Shh, we're not supposed to think about it. The pope is being held hostage by Bernie, clearly. nt Joob Apr 2016 #1

I didn't say there was one. She's a British social activist. That's all I know. seattleite Apr 2016 #6

...they all fall apart if you look into the back story for the actual facts.

ETA: Hillary's campaign is mostly relying on a pre-internet playbook that relies upon the fact that people cannot look up the facts instantaneously rather than rely on what the media says. It is the same problem that is facing the GOP.

Don't think there's really any way she could make a statement that wouldn't look bad. She's got surrogates to attack for her.

They suck life out of things, and they always fight the prior battle because they do not know any better.

I have not seen anything that indicates that the Pope had anything to do with the invitation. It sounds like an internal thing from the organizers of the conference rather than a Papal request to me.

Either way, we're getting more info on the whole thing, so maybe we'll get more clarification on this, too.

The pope did not personally invite Bernie.

Bishop Marcelo Sanchez Sorondo invited him.
