He can afford a car service or-now that he's got a "detail"--the full SUV/entourage schtick.

The subway can be faster (and certainly cheaper) --that's the only reason I take it. I'm no swifty going up and down those stairs, myself!

I take the Path & have a MetroCard.

I still refer in conversational language to them as tokens.

People who aren't completely petty freakin morons know what is being said.

On top of that, the neurosis is exposing the hypocrisy of these jerks to spent two days incessantly writing about tokens, and then, whatever this is about--they are dismissive, only because it deals with HRC.

The concept of "loading" a card is so very different from standing in line and buying a token (or tokens) from a guy behind a cage.

I'm not saying you don't call 'em that--but you are the exception to the rule. They're cards, with card reader lines on 'em--not tokens, which are round and get dropped in a slot.

Sanders would have been better off saying "I haven't taken the subway in years--I live in Vermont, we don't have subways there."

His "token" answer put some space between him and the place of his youth--bit of a disconnect.

I move around often enough to make use of them, too.

But go on and don't read what I write, and snark, if you must. I don't care.

Calling someone "deceptive" because you don't like what they tell you is a childish thing to do. A petty little insult, delivered in a rather petty way.

Guess you've never ridden the subway, have you?

I use tickets, not plastic cards like the Charlie card. Why? I'm not a daily rider. They're the thickness of a very thin piece of cardboard--which you'd know if you took the train at all.

What "all else" do YOU have in your wallet? I have a couple of credit cards, a couple of IDs, those paper thin tickets, and some money.

"All else?" Don't go bragging about your social life, now....

You're reeking of bitterness--not sure why, but I can detect it from here!

You know--NORMAL people--when they participate in a discussion board--DISCUSS.

You have this weird idea that it's "cool" to not engage in conversation. That not responding is "macho" or something.

I think you're coming off like a total jerk, actually, with your nasty and childish comments directed at me--but I suspect you already know that and you're PROUD of it.

I do feel sorry for your kids, though. Daddy ain't too mature, is he, if he gets his jollies mocking people on the internet?

smh!

FWIW, I don't routinely use a phone to access DU--I will on odd occasion but not typically. I'm old school.

They had to work the snide little bit with the card in to take a swipe at Bernie and it flopped because swiping cards is for the little people, Hillary's staff couldn't handle it for her so she failed.

And the other day she was having to be instructed on how to pour herself a draft beer. It says something about these people. Perhaps they just don't live in the real world like the rest of us. I remember a doctor I knew who was amazed to find out that the trap door on top of the dryer was for capturing lint. I kid you not. Amazing how normal every day skills has escaped the elite.
