Will anyone clear their ignore lists or have those bridges been burnt?

(10,287 posts)I dont have anyone on ignore either. But i see ignore referenced by both sides a lot.
You dont learn if you only listen to those in agreement.

Sea and i have been du buds for a while even if we have both been highly partisan in this primary and i hope she knows i do respect her opinions even in disagreement
She is strident and that puts her in the center of a lot of contentious discussions
I dont always agree with her but usually i can see where she comes from.

Friends for years. This hardly is all of who a person is.

(17,796 posts)Although I've put no one on 'ignore' because of the primary, I just have a short list of people who's opinion are automatically discounted.

(6,123 posts)I have been here 12 years and I placed one person on ignore a couple of months ago. I will probably leave that person on ignore as it took 12 years for me to finally breakdown and use the feature.

Even if I might be a part of the "quite a few," I do appreciate the future opportunity.
Love the thought.

(9,610 posts)I may be able to clear it out.
I think that after the primary it will be safe to clear the lists. People will either voluntarily play nice, take leave of DU, or get PPR'd by the site owners.
I doubt many bridges will be mended.

(14,689 posts)I doubt it. I don't see the sides coming together in harmony. Most will vote for the Democratic nominee, but the divisions are more clear this time around. In 2008, there wasn't that big an ideological divide.

The "announced ignore" is very passive aggressive.

I'll clear the ignore list. Some bridges are nothing but a memory of ash.

(10,164 posts)If it's Hillary, I'm keeping it as a way to identify whose nose to rub in it when she gets destroyed in November (I'll clear it then). If it's Bernie, I'll have to go through and re-evaluate one by one. By then, it will be well over 100 names, I'm sure (it was five prior to un-Trashing GD: P a couple months ago...).
