Questioning Hillary Clinton’s Qualifications Doesn’t Sit Well With Women Backing Her

Questioning Hillary Clinton’s Qualifications Doesn’t Sit Well With Women Backing Her

"SNIP...........

When talking to women rooting for Hillary Clinton, one reason comes up over and over again about why they stick by her: She is, simply, the most qualified person to be president.

“She’s the most highly qualified candidate of the Republicans and the Democrats. She has the experience,” New Hampshire state Rep. Mary Heath (D) said during a canvassing event in Manchester in January.

..........

“There are policy disagreements he may have with her on some things. Let’s stick to those,” Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) told reporters on Capitol Hill Thursday. “Let’s not say that the most qualified candidate for president is simply unqualified. Frankly, I don’t get that. And I think we’ve got to refrain from ad hominem attacks that — there’s a different way he could have put that.”

Female Clinton supporters often get defensive when reporters ask them whether they’re backing Clinton because she would be the first woman in the Oval Office. They stress that it’s about her qualifications more than checking a box on the gender list.

Oh, poor little old me, I took the gloves off and threw a punch, and someone threw it back at me.

I am just a delicate thing and the victim in all of this.

She and the campaign have played this game so many times now, no one is going to fall for this bullshit yet again.

Instead of worrying about Clinton and her qualifications or lack thereof, perhaps someone should worry about Bill Clinton's fuck up on aisle two with BLM!

Support her for whatever reasons you want. And if y'all play the sexism card every time someone pushes back against her campaign smears, we are going to call that out as well.

Real sexism and misogyny have dramatic consequences for every day women's lives. Using it as a defense for the indefensible in a horribly managed campaign makes light of that.

Clinton is a classic narcissist as she cares about no one but herself.

someone who is uninterested in education himself, in the white house. The man is running for President. Why hasn't he educated himself on foreign policy, or the very policy he is solely interested in?

Is this what she does when her back's up against the wall -- play the gender card?

In doing so, she insults her fellow woman, whether she knows it or not.

It's okay to question a man's qualifications but not a woman's? I hate to break it to all the people seeing sexism everywhere, but if a woman is strong enough to run for the office she is certainly strong enough to be asked any question. Hillary is diminished every time a supporter cries "sexism."

He put out FACTUAL statements that are absolutely true. If they can't handle the truth, maybe they should switch to Bernie.

Did she take all that money from Wall Street?
Did she vote for Iraq war?
Everything he said about her was TRUTH.

In contrast to Hillary. Everything she says about Bernie is a lie.

She lied about his vote for the auto bailout, she lied about his heathcare plan.
Everything smear her and her campaign make about Bernie is a lie.

What do the women supporting Hillary have against FACTS and TRUTH?

And I don't really worry about what people think who are not interested in facts and truth.

I don't consider a love of war and fracking and the TPP "qualifications". Yes, I am a woman, and I care more about my family, all the other people, and the earth; I don't care one whit about Hillary's desire to be president - that's obscene, in a way, if I felt hey, what's a littler war and fracking and more jobs lost?

Thu Apr 7, 2016, 07:54 PM

I voted for Bill, and when it came to the election last time the fact she voted for the war really made it hard for me to vote for her. My mother did vote for her because she is from Arkansas too and she did not think that the US would vote for a black man (I am not kidding). This year she voted for Hillary again (because she did not think they would vote for a socialist). The voters I know from the south liked the Clintons because it is highly republican, and they were the best they could ever get. They saw the times they tried other options and they would get a republican. There is a mentality there to vote for the safest even if you don't like it, they are basically battered by the political environment down there. They also look the other way a bit more because again that is the best they can do. Well just last week my mother messaged me an article about the fake smearing like the Kos article about a "Socialist" that had had it with Bernie. She had decided that she was done with Bernie, even though it was too late for her to change her mind. She has also become disgusted by Hillary's (or her people's) tricks.

When I see this type of article calling people sexist for calling Clinton out it just makes me think that another life long Clinton supporter has just left the fold. I am utterly disgusted by this faux sexism, these are horrible people making these claims, using victim's pain as their own tools, it is sickening. I have seen sexism, I have seen racism, I have sat with my partner and seen the looks of the people in the south because we are not the same race, I have been harassed and seen it at work, I have been pulled from a car at gun point by a cop with a grudge, I have been pulled over for hair color, I have watched a cop talk down to my partner most likely because of race, I am from the state where one of the first large school shootings I had ever heard of occurred (1998). The HRC camp is taking the victims of sexism, racism, and shootings...and then waving them like a flag for their cause. You speak for the victims, you don't use them to speak for you!

This is why people are leaving our party, this is disgusting.
