5. Eye opening for HS kids to experience
Thu Apr 7, 2016, 03:52 PM
Apr 2016

Imagine attending the HS, but some of the attendees making kids at their own school feel unwelcome. Being a student at the HS, but not priority to be in audience first. No engagement or Q and A, no interaction, just shut up and listen.

Yeah, if they weren't Bernie supporters before, this was a great way to uninspire and let them look elsewhere.

3. The arrogance and undeserved entitlement are so obvious

We need someone other than Clinton. We need someone who supports democracy, fights for civil rights, cares about fair economic policy and is trustworthy.

We need someone who will fight for us.

Bashing kids who can think and see thing for themselves is pathetic. no wonder kids aren't going for her. She feels so sorry for them.

13. Let me guess, you didn't even read enough of the article to see

that 70% of the kids at that school are on reduced or free lunch. Do you know what that means? And 90% of the kids at that school are PoC. The author had valid criticisms of the way the event was handled and what Hillary talked about. She quoted several other students with very specific issues in mind, issues that effect them every day, like the school-to-prison pipeline and the inequity between schools in the district.

To write this off as irrelevant 'Bernie kids' and assume it is about liking or disliking a person rather than real critique of a politician's platform is, well, as tone deaf as Hillary and her campaign people were at that school, I suppose.

If you want to defend Hillary against the criticisms this young writer is discussing, you are doing it wrong

14. yes, kids who don't like Hillary Clinton were amazingly not happy to have her visit them.

And even more amazingly, kids who dislike Hillary Clinton somehow managed to not like what she had said and also were upset at things she didn't say.

It's an extraordinary revelation.

16. Kids aren't stupid
Fri Apr 8, 2016, 01:54 PM
Apr 2016
The next day, after school was over, we waited for hours to get into our own gym for the rally. We were tired, coming off a full school day, and our spirits were low because we felt like we were being sold for publicity without our consent. To add to that, in line we had offensive comments directed toward us. One woman approached us and said, "Can I take a photo with you guys so I can show people that I'm not afraid of Muslims?"

And they aren't props.

6. I was actually there that night as that school is very close to my home.

I was actually glad she came to the hood but not surprised.

Hillary's speech wasn't that bad and it was filled to capacity. My neighbor was bummed as she is a supporter but couldn't get in. I thought Hillary should have said something to the people waiting outside but she didn't.
