Related: About this forumA Lesson To the Hillary Fans on Hillary's Passive Aggressive Behavior
Or, How To Say Something Without Using Exact Words:
Question: "Is Obama A Muslim?"
Hillary: "No, I don't think he is... As far as I know."
She passively says she doesn't know, when she does very well know.
She didn't have to say it, and when asked, she could passively deny it, while she aggressively knew the truth and was having her campaign disseminate this information. If there is any doubt to that, Mark Penn, her campaign strategist wrote this in a memo to the campaign:
http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2008/08/penn-strategy-memo-march-19-2008/37952/
The campaign also admitted to distributing the image of Obama in traditional Kenyan garb.
So while Hillary never said Obama is a Muslim, she certainly was passively allowing her campaign to say it and distribute material on it.

(27,742 posts)Because Hillary gives one of her nuanced wise guy answers to some TV guy - something that is fully expected.
He comes off like a fool that can't control his emotions.

(154,021 posts)Ergo Sanders is weak? When Obama hit back it was the same, he is a hot head! I am a victim bs. The web has changed a lot of those dynamics and politicians have to be aware of this thing called the Internet.
The Clinton camp shows a distressing misunderstanding of that as well.

(27,742 posts)And he did.

(154,021 posts)And this morning she backed down. I expect Bernie to also back down from open warfare. He established he is not weak. And he did mention the Panama papers. That one, though just as complicated as the email story on the technical side...will grow legs.
People really don't like shifty filthy rich people not to pay their taxes. (For the record, the articles are fascinating)

What is Bernie going to do some day? Nothing in case there might be an exploitable loophole in everything?
Sure, he has all the wisdom of afterthought.

(154,021 posts)Or perhaps my filter is not partisan
So let me make s couple points here
1.- The only people who take this shit seriously are partisans and the beltway media. It does not matter if you are watching a race for city hall or the presidency, this is a rule of thumb. The more outraged the media and partisans seem to be, the less it is reaching actual well voters. So she smeared, he returned fire. That is Tuesday in American politics. But he did show he is not weak. How fast she backed down though, tells me this was polling horribly.
2.- The Panama deal has the potential of really outraging voters, once they realize it is bringing down governments. Next on tap: PM Cameron. Fifa, what the hell is that?
And personally I cannot wait for the full list of Anericans that were netted in that document leak. If you think this was just a few senior citizens buying property in Costa Rica, I got a fairly wet bridge for sale. For the record, I don't expect the Clintons to be there, but a few of their well connected friends will not shock me. I just paid my taxes, so are most folks. So yes, that has real potential.
As to the FTA, related, are you that tone deaf to have missed how angry the voters are about FTAs?

Face it, you can dance around with the little word games and mind games all you want, but the PEOPLE KNOW her for what she is. She shows it every single day.
