But it is informative that someone who has so much in comparison is so used to having it that they could consider that being broke.

This is a reflection of our society as a whole, the haves have too much, it is that simple.

Sorry, sexually harassing interns and subordinates is NEVER OK.

He was lucky he didn't go to jail, or was ruined financially.

But I'm sure he & HRC are glad to see you care. I mean, seriously, who could possibly live on a presidential pension and a U.S. Senator's salary, and a few million in book fees? I hope they had enough government cheese to eat through that cold, desperate winter of 2001...

These were real people. And just like in the case of Bill Cosby, when you get a torrent of accusations, there is probably a very high likelihood that the person is guilty of some pretty horrible stuff.

Of course Team Clinton just attacked the women. Bimbo eruptions, I think they called them. Gee, that's pro-woman, isn't it?

I believe Bill has a very serious problem with women. And I think Hillary has turned a blind eye to it, out of either love, loyalty, or ambition. If it were my daughter or sister, there would be hell to pay.

I dont consider this consentual really. Its a case of a man (ab)using his considerable power over a young, inexperienced woman for his sick, perverse needs.

By defending and rationalizing this behavior you are condoning it.

I can't think of anyone who believed they were "dead broke". I doubt even Bill thought it. It was a temporary debt quickly paid off by wealthy cronies and deals that 99.9% of America aren't privy to.

Dead broke means sleeping in your car parked in a WalMart parking lot. You pick up cans and bottles for food and gas. You wash up in the burger rest room. I've seen those people and have given them money. So stop with the "dead broke" nonsense.

because they have two kids in private colleges. But they clearly are not broke. For many people that word just means having used up all your savings. I agree its a little Romney-ish, and possibly insensitive, but the point can certainly be understood when placed in the proper context. At least by someone who is able to understand context.

At least, that is what the GOP and Third Way would like us to believe.

(Unless the discussion is about the minium wage, in which case single digit hourly wages are just fine - and should probably stay low to compete with all those even lower-wages countries with which we are supposedly eager to enter a race to the bottom called TPP and TTIP.)

Would it be that hard to get a loan, considering each one would write memoirs that would earn them millions? Doesn't an ex-president get some sort of pension and public housing if they had nowhere to live.

I understand that the Clintons had debt, but their type of broke is different than the average joe living paycheck to paycheck.
