We're a nation of suckers. We always let ourselves get "played"

The kerfuffle in the primary right now, the media's shallow and moronic coverage of it....

What is it Bernie Sanders is trying to do? What is his vision for America? What are the problems he is trying to energize us to solve as a nation?

"Oh wait a minute I think I heard something about that. Something about giving away free stuff. I know he hates capitalism.......And he said "um" and "I'm not sure" a few times in a print interview so I don't think He knows what he's doing. I've been told by the Clinton campaign and the media that Sanders is an uninformed idiot. And now he's attacking her because she's a woman. He's a mean old man."

It's not just about Clinton v. Sanders. It's about how we always allow our politics descend to the least common denominator. Even Democrats -- which is supposed to be the party of liberalism and progressive policies -- manage to strangle reform in its cradle.

It's about how we get distracted to obsess over the latest Reality TV show "Blow Up" and "Gaffe" and look at the Bright Shiny Objects....so we don't notice they are picking our pockets.

Happens every time there's an election. Issues be damned.

We knew she had nothing of substance, or she would've taken the kill shot a long time ago. And now we're all talking about the word qualified. It's a stright-up Clinton smear job, and it's sitting there for all to see. There's nothing surprising about any of this.

So at least there's that.

Of course, the corporate media noise machine will ignore the substance and focus exclusively on the style, as always.
