or am in a bubble. History in this case is quite frankly prologue.

Sorry that painting him as a weak candidate did not work, really. This was what destroying and unqualifying him was about, She did the same with Obama

here a more recent tale of this

it’s easy to forget that eight years ago at this time, her campaign was desperately trying to paint the then-Illinois senator as a whimsical amateur whose popular narrative was a better fit for the Land of Make Believe than the White House.

...

And in the ensuing two and a half weeks leading up to the pivotal contest in South Carolina, issues of race remained front and center — with a boost from Hillary Clinton herself — as Obama campaign allies expressed outrage.

The day after Obama’s landslide South Carolina victory, the bitterness came to a head when President Clinton appeared to dismiss the result as an all but inevitable outcome in a state where a majority of the voters were African-American, noting that Jesse Jackson had twice won South Carolina.

It was indeed leaked Hillary was going to "disqualify" him and it was an intern who worked in her campaign that leaked it, among other things.

Bernie would have been perceive as weak to allow his opponent to in any way attack him and not respond in kind. I think his response was intended to demonstrate that he will not lie down and let her walk all over him. He said from the beginning he wanted to run a clean campaign, and that he has always done that in Vermont. He has let some little cuts slide, but it is a whole new ballgame now and the rules have changed.

Kudos to Bernie for standing up for himself.

It's time that the question of who is actually "qualified" to be POTUS should be addressed.

I think the first point should be foreign policy, which Hillary Clinton puts as being to her advantage, she being ex-SOS.
So let's examine how her contributions to Iraq, Libya, Syria, the cluster bombing of Yemen, make her more qualified to be POTUS.

Let's start there.
Then maybe we can get into investment banking vis-a-vis war profiteering.

Sanders has more integrity in his pinky than a large number of those attributing a horrible character to him, gleefully embracing the politics of the nasty.

I have yet to be wrong about my judgement of his character, and that's why I love the man. And that's also why I crack up about contested conventions, and other absurdities.
