... who have bashed Clinton for being too far to the right for months, and now stand up for gun rights due to political expediency.

It seems to me reading most of other Sanders supporters that issues is that bill Sanders voted no on was a bill that tried to bypass 2nd amendment. Which me personal I don't think that is how we should run America. If was want to make guns totally illegal by making it so that gun manufactures go out of business is not right. It is same as how I get disgusted by GOP trying to bypass Roe vs Wade with all bullshit laws trying to stop abortions. It has nothing to do with how Sanders thinks. It is part of my core values.
Which is probably why many of you don't get it because you really don't have any.

And your last sentence is a ridiculous ad hominem attack which really serves no purpose.

5. You are wrong. I never gave much thought to the 2nd amendment and didn't understand why people felt

so passionately about the issue.

However, when I hear Clark promoting internment camps, realize we have a propaganda machine to rival Russia, a militarized police force in some areas, and that governments have disarmed their populace before grabbing control, I have come to appreciate why so many people feel so strongly about their second amendment rights.

And if I feel this way, I can only imagine how the people that have long been defenders of the 2nd amendment feel. I know people that feel strong about the right to own a gun and they will come out in droves to vote against Clinton.

Those people will come out to vote against any democrat. They hate the "Guvmint", theres no way in hell they are voting for a socialist. And justifying their irrational fears by people here who are otherwise rational political thinkers is precisely what I was expressing wonder about.

7. Oh really? Because I know gun owners that voted for Bernie. You really shouldn't stereotype all

gun owners. It's just like the stereotype that anyone who is against exploitative trade is a racist.

To infer that gun owners in favor of the 2nd amendment are illiterate is stupid.

I happen to live on a farm and own a gun. I was referring to your original argument about people who equate gun rights with fear of the government.
