You know, my dad took me out behind the cottage that my grandfather built on a little lake called Lake Winola outside of Scranton and taught me how to shoot when I was a little girl, she said. Snip
Clinton touted her husband's record on gun control during his administration, and said "there is not a contradiction between protecting Second Amendment rights" and the effort to reduce crime.

I've hunted. My father taught me how to hunt. I went duck hunting in Arkansas. I remember standing in that cold water, so cold, at first light. I was with a bunch of my friends, all men. The sun's up, the ducks are flying and they are playing a trick on me. They said, 'we're not going to shoot, you shoot.' They wanted to embarrass me. The pressure was on. So I shot, and I shot a banded duck and they were surprised as I was," Clinton said drawing laughter from the crowd.

Over the weekend, Clinton sought to capitalize on remarks Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) made about gun owners by casting herself as a Second American champion and reminiscing about how my dad
. taught me how to shoot when I was a little girl.
Shooting, she said Saturday, is part of the culture
part of a way of life in some rural areas of Pennsylvania, which hold its primary a week from Tuesday.
Clinton was so enthusiastic about her remarks that Obama mocked them on Sunday by saying: She's running around talking about how this is an insult to sportsmen, how she VALUES the Second Amendment she's talkin' like she's Annie Oakley, the frontier markswoman.

My favorite moment on that was in the debate against Edwards and Obama on whether illegal immigrants should get driver's licenses ... and she answered the question both ways - yes they should and no they should not.
That's a big problem with her. She talks a good story sometimes but her positions have always lacked being thought through with conviction.
She's not really a leader - she's a follower. What she follows is whatever position she thinks will get her the most votes with the folks she's talking with at the time.
For one group, she's a progressive. For another, she pleads guilty to being a moderate.

She's always been that way.
