Clinton's mocking laughter on CNN further reinforced my dislike of her.

I've been thinking that in the unlikely event that she is the nominee perhaps it wouldn't bE as bad as I've led myself to believe. Then I watched her for a few minutes on CNN, throwing out her LOUD, mocking laughter at Bernie and his campaign. No way will I ever be able to like this person. How condescending, how full of entitlement.

As does the fact the FEC has found yet another problem with his filings to the the tune of about 10 million dollars

As does the fact he hasn't released his taxes

As does the fact he pledged to raise money for other Democratic candidates and has failed to do so even while he was given access to the DNC data base AND THEN STOLE DATA TO USE AGAINST CLINTON.

26. It was the editorial board that got it wrong not Bernie
Wed Apr 6, 2016, 01:57 PM
Apr 2016

"A notion is rapidly crystallizing among the national media that Bernie Sanders majorly bungled an interview with the editorial board of the New York Daily News. His rival, Hillary Clinton, has even sent a transcript of the interview to supporters as part of a fundraising push. A close look at that transcript, though, suggests the media may be getting worked up over nothing.

In fact, in several instances, it’s the Daily News editors who are bungling the facts in an interview designed to show that Sanders doesn’t understand the fine points of policy. In questions about breaking up big banks, the powers of the Treasury Department and drone strikes, the editors were simply wrong on details."

59. "Bernie Sanders gave some fairly normal answers on financial reform"
Wed Apr 6, 2016, 03:35 PM
Apr 2016

So when both Konczal and Eavis consider Bernie Sanders' recent comments on breaking up the banks, we shouldn't be surprised that they arrived at similar conclusions. Konczal:

Bernie Sanders gave some fairly normal answers on financial reform to the New York Daily News editorial board. Someone sent it to me, and as I read it I thought “yes, these are answers I’d expect for how Sanders approaches financial reform.”

Eavis:

Bernie Sanders probably knows more about breaking up banks than his critics give him credit for.

And we should not, for that matter, be surprised that they consider Sanders' comments fairly sensible. After all, Sanders, too, has focused on this field of policy for much of his national career, and he's advised by professionals who research this stuff for a living.

So how did so many critics in the media, in direct opposition to this scholarly consensus, conclude that Sanders' ideas about breaking up the bank were so radically off base? Some brief quotes and CVs from the pundits Konczal mentions:

In fact, as we see here, a major - major - problem in modern journalism is a widespread lack of expertise. It's not just that journalists are editorializing; they're editorializing on topics where they have no background or claim to knowledge whatsoever. Pundits who know little more than their readers, and often demonstrably less, are given massive corporate platforms to do this; their misinformation is relentlessly marketed and disseminated with massive promotional budgets, quite often under the imprimatur of prestige publication brands.

I think the questions were cleared in advance. It was basically the same line of questioning this morning from both Morning Joe and from Chris Cuomo (on Wolf Blitzer's show while Wolf was sidelined for the interview for some reason). Every question pointed Hillary at Bernie and gave her a free run at him.

I had CNN on for awhile after the interview with the sound muted and when they are talking about the Democrats they are doing the work of the Clinton campaign. It's all questions about the NY Daily News interview with sections highlighted on guns, breaking up the banks, etc. Nothing about Bernie winning Wisconsin to make it 6 of the last 7, Bernie killing Hillary in fundraising without holding fundraisers, exit poll results that show Hillary getting killed with voters under 40, etc.

Wow, that really says it all. Anything goes as long as Bernie's image is not compromised. Good Lord!

And this is a really phony and desperate sidebar in a pathetic thread. But any ol' thing counts to get your hate on. Obviously.

I feel he voted the right way. If he voted the other way I would feel he was wrong. You want an apology for his vote and that is fine. Still curious if you believe in the car scenario above or if this only applies to a vote you can use for political points, such as guns.

Meanwhile, it becomes apparent the only women Hillary supporters truly care about are those named Hillary Clinton.

Certainly, when the wrapping was peeled back on Sanders weak response to interview questions, Clinton isn't alone in commenting and knocking him, so that complaint seems misplaced. Why should a woman appease her detractors by speaking in soft, soothing, dulcet tones so she's easier to ignore, dismiss and be “talked over”, but then be judged differently than a man when she is confident, bold and assertive... still... in 2016?

I've spent my life supporting and fighting for gender equality in ways you probably can't imagine, and suffered the consequences for it. An attempt at a lecture from some online unknown only demonstrates that person's immaturity.

Listen, don't post your CV, I'm not interested in another internet expert's claims of fancy. Still unanswered; why can't Clinton join all the other commentators in laughing, even loudly and condescendingly, at how Sanders flubbed that interview? What did you want from her? Did you expect no response and a free pass, maybe a word of sympathetic support for her opponent's unearned errors?

C'mon, this is politics 101, and Sander's regularly does the same thing with thousands of cheering fans laughing uproariously over some Clinton gaff, but maybe that weak sauce is OK for you, yeah?

You didn't like her laugh. Now that' s a concern. Don't worry that your candidate can't even talk about how he would implement the changes he has campaigned on or that he said the consequences for jobs and lending aren't his problem, but Hillary laughed and you decided that was unacceptable. Now Bernie, that's a guy to have a beer with.
