(19,053 posts)...has always been very clear. That when discussing the issues important to the Black community, no party nor politician has a right to claim the Black vote, they must earn it. It has always been inclusive of a broad range of Black voices and experiences, but cautions any politician who believes that they are entitled to the Black vote.

In Chicago, Rahm was endorsed by Obama (who came to Chicago and stumped for him--lucky us!) and black leadership, Aldermen and reverends. Only Jesse Jackson endorsed Garcia.
With Hillary, electability is huge. Also, Blacks are loyal Democrats and reject Bernie as a Socialist. THOSE ARE 2 FACTORS, BUT NOT THE ONLY. THEY'RE JUST SIGNIFICANT FACTORS.
