Voters at the student union at UW-Green Bay are waiting over an hour to vote!

Yet more voter suppression hijinks

The wait to vote is more than an hour at the largest polling station in Green Bay, a three-ward site inside the student union at UW-Green Bay. It's a mix of middle class families, retirees, and students. The turnout is the largest in memory, but the delays are related to the new voter ID law, among other problematic state requirements, according to Chuck Heidner, the chief election official at this location.

Voters have been giving up, or turning back at the site of the line. Students are making a choice: skip class and vote, or attend class and do not. The bottleneck is at check-in. Despite the long lines only 2 or 3 of the 10 voting booths here are being used at any given time -- because it takes so long to process voters.

It's a 5-step process for registered voters and a 6-step process for new voters, according to Heidner. But he has to process them through one line and he has only two official poll books -- so even more staff wouldn't help him. The ID law has added a step, slowing the process considerably. Heider blasted the law in an interview with MSNBC.

"It slows things down. It just plain slows things down," he said. "What's frustrating for me is that this is supposedly being enacted in the name of stopping voter fraud but I don't know the last time we had a case of voter fraud, or if we ever did. So if we haven't had the problem, why are we trying to fix if?"

I am so sick of this bullshit! Walker should be arrested for this! Snyder should be arrested. Sometimes we should not have to wait to un-elect them....such bullshit.

7. This is Scott Walker's and republicans' doing

but I'm sure some here will blame Hillary for it and the low-information keyboard warriors will go apeshit on the web.

What is important is that during Scott Walker's recall election, Bill Clinton campaigned against him tirelessly.

Where was Bernie?

... and not getting the papers they need for voting in order. So your knife there cuts both ways.

12. It is not about exercising right to vote. It is about having the proper documentation

in order to exercise the right to vote.

Every time a student doesn't have proper documentation, it slows down others behind him/her who HAVE proper documentation.

So in my opinion, the right to vote of those who have studied what the proper documentation is and are in possession of it trumps the rights of those who didn't bother to read what documentation they should have and just showed up.

However, under the state of current rules, it is the voter's responsibility to have proper documentation in order to vote.

Voting is a right that comes with responsibilities.

15. Voting is a right that should not be suppressed by Repuke poll taxes.

The fact that you feel voters are responsible for paying Repuke poll taxes says it all.
