2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumWhile we wait for results from Wisconsin,
which I don't expect to know until tomorrow morning, I'm hoping that DUers from Wisconsin post their experiences at the polling places today. I always enjoy hearing those reports from people after they've voted. It gives us all a look at turnout, the mood of voters, and other interesting information.
So, if you're a Wisconsinite, be sure to post what you found at your polling place. Everyone's anxious to hear something.

We'll know very early only and it will called much like the last most recent primaries Bernie has won

(146,336 posts)I don't think I said anything of the sort. Let me go look again....Nope.
I said I wouldn't see the results until tomorrow morning. That's because the polls close at 8PM and I hit the sack about then, since I get up at 5AM every day.
I pretty much say exactly what I mean to say in my posts. There's no need to guess.

(1,442 posts)your statement did not include "because the polls close at 8PM and I hit the sack about then, since I get up at 5AM every day" it did state "which I don't expect to know", which could be read and was read as race close they will not be able to determine winner until next day...
words matter and the words you used left out a lot of what you replied with so there is that...
since clearly "I pretty much say exactly what I mean to say in my posts. There's no need to guess" is a misstatement on your part in the least and a lie on your part for the most

(146,336 posts)to hear the results from a state other than my own? I didn't even stay up to learn the results in Minnesota. The only election I stay up for is the general election in a presidential year.
My statement was accurate as written. I do not owe anyone an explanation of my sleep habits, frankly. You made an incorrect assumption, based on what I wrote. I explained that you were incorrect. I'm done here.

(146,336 posts)I haven't worked a polling place for 20 years, but I always enjoyed doing that in the past. I got to see all of my neighbors as they filed in to vote. Have fun today!

(539 posts)There were a lot of people at my polling place but the line wasn't long yet. I was voter #128.
Voters now have to show an ID in WI and I know that will effect many voters around the state, there's been many volunteers around the state to help people get all the information they need (where the polling place is, acceptable forms of ID, etc.).
Here's hoping for a smooth primary day in Wisconsin.
Cheers!
