Carlie Fiorina, you ignorant...

what Dan Aykroyd used to tell Jane Curtin in the old SNL "Weekend Update." (Many DUers probably have no idea to what I am referring..)

The President did not serve in the military because by the time he was eighteen, the draft was eliminated and we moved to a volunteer army.

And Bill Clinton agonized over refusing the draft with his well written letters part of the 1992 campaign.

Either way, none of them are "chicken hawks" as opposed to Romney and Cheney. Both of them got deferral during Vietnam while Bush Jr. got himself several appearances at the Texas Air National Guard. And all are eager to send American troops to die on foreign soil.

And, no, Mormons are not exempt form Military service, as much as the right wing media is trying to spin this.

How topical that George McGovern, who was a war hero, who'd seen the savages of war up close and personal was against it, while Romney, Cheney, and Bush Jr. are pro-war. And, interestingly, Bush Sr., himself a war hero, was very careful to limit the scope of the first Gulf War, not to march to Baghdad, as much as many hawks wanted.

(This should teach me to stay away from CNN. Made the mistake earlier).

...run spell check on your post title.

ETA that her last name is also misspelled. It's Fiorina.
