Looks like he's trying to do a 'gotcha' on MTP now.

(3,226 posts)Bernie has the best answer on abortion "it is a woman's body and it is her choice, the Goverment should have no say in the mater" that is the one and only answer one needs I was surprised to see Hillary stumble with his questions she was worried that she may say the wrong thing she seemed to be way over thinking it.

(646 posts)I think any candidate running for president should be able to state their postion on abortion. Unlike Trump, who hadn't put much thought into it.

(646 posts)I don't want to debate abortion, I am 100% pro choice but, Roe v Wade only protects a woman's right to choose up to the time a fetus is viable [24 week/first trimester] after that, most states, allow abortion in the case of exception like rape, incest and life of the mother.
I'm not sure where Bernie is on the issue but if he supports abortion up to the moment of birth, he is going to have problems with a large swath of the population....

Not sure if we have established clinically yet, what stages of Pregnancy the Zika virus is able to infect and therefore effect the fetus.
I think we have interesting times ahead of us regarding Zika wrt Abortion guidelines and rights.
I am with Bernie, it's a woman's body, it's her call (along with her doctor as needed).

(50,313 posts)Abortion should be between a woman and her doctor and whoever she might want to consult. There should be no further restrictions placed on abortion rights. I'm certain that's where Bernie stands. Re your last paragraph. Imagine a woman is within minutes of giving birth and suddenly begins hemorrhaging. It's determined the baby can't be delivered vaginally and a C-section is too risky. Do you save the mother and sacrifice the baby? Save the baby and kill the mother? Let them both die? Politicians are not qualified to make such a call.

(5,420 posts)They read it recently online but I don't know where. So maybe something of that nature has come out, true or not.
OK just googled it. Looks like it came from one of Bills former mistresses. Not a reliable source, but I'll bet that's what they were alluding to in the questioning.
