Bill Clinton Draws 650 people in Appleton, WI

APPLETON - Former President Bill Clinton, making a campaign stop here on behalf of his wife, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, took a swipe at GOP front-runner Donald Trump for wanting to build a wall on the country’s southern border.

“Building a wall is a bad idea,” he told a crowd of 650 Friday morning at Lawrence University in downtown Appleton.

“We can do this," he said in reference to creating a stronger middle class, "but we can’t do this until we tear down (economic) barriers.”

7. Was Bill referring to making the US middle class stronger or the middle class of Mexico?

Thanks to his NAFTA trade agreement, my guess is Mexico. "Tearing down barriers" fits well.

One million US jobs lost due to Bill's NAFTA.

I'm sure the dems up there appreciate the attention but that area went fairly strong for Walker, if it was me, I'd be elsewhere unless I was trying to appeal to republicans.

If I was looking to appeal to dems I'd be sure to hit Superior where there are lots of them and I don't recall either dem campaign going there. Maybe they think it was worked during the MN caucuses?

If I was wanting little venues looking for dems that get overlooked I'd be after hot spot counties by visiting places like Prairie du Chien, Ashland, or the mustard capital of America over in Mt Horeb
