An honest question to Bernie supporters.

This is not rhetorical. I'm not assuming you have no answer. I'm thinking I easily may not have seen it. How does Sanders propose to implement free public college for all when the states control public college tuition?

TIA

Or, you could try a Google Search, it's pretty easy to find his general and detailed plans for this.

He actually has a plan, whereas his opponent only wants to perpetuate high costs and help a little with debt management.

Talk about a bandaid on a heavy bleed.

And states don't go for it in 2 years they will have a new State Government. And if a state still want the GOP well that is their problem and they will have to deal with college age kids going to other states.

But some governors do reject medicaid? I think under the ACA so it will be up to the voters of that state to reject those governors. That's my best guess. He is campaigning on free public college so whether he can force that to happen in all fifty states really isn't the point. That he makes it available to all fifty states is really the crux of his promise.

You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink. He will supply the water. When the horse gets thirsty, hopefully he'll drink.

If you're asking for tax plan, then you'd have to see his web site. He's got lots of ideas for that and some higher taxes for all and major higher taxes and fees on some.

8. From the Sanders website:

Mar 2016

STOP THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT FROM MAKING A PROFIT ON STUDENT LOANS.

Over the next decade, it has been estimated that the federal government will make a profit of over $110 billion on student loan programs. This is morally wrong and it is bad economics. As President, Sen. Sanders will prevent the federal government from profiteering on the backs of college students and use this money instead to significantly lower student loan interest rates.

SUBSTANTIALLY CUT STUDENT LOAN INTEREST RATES.

Under the Sanders plan, the formula for setting student loan interest rates would go back to where it was in 2006. If this plan were in effect today, interest rates on undergraduate loans would drop from 4.29% to just 2.37%.

There has been no real vetting of Bernie's plans.

How do you get to single payer? answer " other countries do it"

How do you get Scott Walker to pay for free tuition? "my state use to do it"

I wish in the debates Bernie had to answer these questions.

Bernie, how do you get red states to pay for free tuition? "Wall Street, Big Banks, 1% yada yada yada

Price per plane or ship:

B-2 Spirit: $2.4 billion

F-22 Raptor: $350 million

C17A Globemaster III: $328 million

P-8A Poseidon: $290 million

E-2D Advanced Hawkeye: $232 million

Gerald R. Ford-Class Nuclear Aircraft Carrier (CVN 78): $12 billion

LHA 6 America-Class Amphibious Assault Ship: $3.4 billion

and the list goes on and on and on. But we can't afford to send our kids to school.

Just MY thoughts.

...will lose young people who want to take advantage of the educational opportunities offered in the states that "opt in." They'll leave to take up residence in those states. Many will never return. The number of educated workers attractive to business will be diminished.

States that opt out are likely to suffer backlash from voters and loss of competitiveness. It would become an issue in future elections... an issue that will help put more liberal supporters of tuition free public education into office.

about how it used to be and how it could be. He will, I'm sure, continue to hold that standard. He will ask the American people to continuously show their support for such a standard.

That's how, so far, he proposes to get it done. Sounds like a plan to me.

But not for those who are defeatist, Corporatist, stay at homes, vote with the Republicans or Republican-lites. I'm sure it will not compute for them in any fashion. Or at least not until they see the evidence of the amount of people supporting it and advocating it and the fact that that's really how any social or major change gets done.

Join the party. Don't you think we should be able to do just as well as Germany? Don't you think it would provide an advantage to our people, our common good, and our economy?
