Even "We Ask America" had it O+3 a day or two before that.

The last PPP poll I see from Iowa had the president up 51-44

Also... I'm afraid your title is incorrect. They have Romney up by one. Not the president.

That's WAY outside of what the other two show.

On edit... ok... Now I see two PPP polls. The one with Romney up by one is from a day or two ago and is conflated with one showing a lead in NH. The links aren't the same. Weird.

A new Public Policy Polling survey in Iowa conducted on behalf of Health Care for America Now finds Barack Obama moving into a 49-48 lead in the state. Obama’s small advantage reverses a 1 point deficit he had on a PPP poll of the state last week.

When they showed O losing lots of people here got discouraged. At least their new poll shows him winning.

As to the entire election I remain guardedly optimistic.

It was R+4 and then D+7 in the second. I suppose it was all in who they reached that day with their robopolling.

And I am surprised O doesn't have a much bigger lead with a +7 Democratic electorate.

with consistently tight numbers lately - which is fine by me. The consistency is the important part, makes judging against the other polls with higher numbers easier. Between the Cook Report and the O team's own numbers I am not worried about Iowa, but folks can feel free to jump - it'll cut down the signal to noise at least.
