The Romney camp doesn't like the label "Romnesia" (updated)

Last edited Sun Oct 21, 2012, 02:55 PM - Edit history (2)

Romney Adviser: ‘Romnesia’ Line ‘Quite Silly’

Kevin Madden, a top adviser to the Romney campaign, called President Obama's new "Romnesia" line "quite silly" during an appearance on CBS' "Face the Nation" Sunday.

"The very fact that the president has to utter a term like that just is a glaring example of how small the campaign is," Madden said. "The Obama campaign has not been one about the future. It hasn't been talking about what they'd do over the next four years to really help rebuild the economy. Instead, they have reduced themselves to very small attacks like 'Romnesia,' which is really quite frankly silly for the president of the United States, as the leader of the free world, to begin uttering."

Appearing with Madden, Stephanie Cutter, deputy manager for the Obama campaign, said "Romnesia" was "a playful term to describe what Mitt Romney's actually doing."

On Friday, Obama described "Romnesia" as a condition his opponent was suffering from wherein he forgets the positions he took during the primary and moves toward the center.

I don't mean to be facetious, but something seems SO OFF about that guy. From his odd gait, and his extremely short fuse. His seamless moving back and forth between positions that he held the day before. Also, the practicing sitting on a stool.. seemed so off. Perhaps they hit a nerve.

I truly believe that something is wrong with Romney, whether mentally or physically, and this Romnesia thing is going to make people look more closely at him. Glad it's pissing them off. For ALL of the shit they threw at the President, the constant jumping on everything he said, calling him Unamerican, "not like us" and such, they can sure dish it but they can't take it.

too, huh? What's up with that? And he definitely is OFF in so many ways. His wife has told us 2 times he is a mental case and most of his supporters aren't alarmed. He could be very dangerous in the POTUS position if he gets elected. Scary!

I would say a slogan that describes a candidate's low moral character as a whore who says anything to get elected and pretends he didn't take clearly inconsistent positions in the past is not silly, it's highly relevant.

So they don't like the term Romnesia.
This coming from the people who invented the term "Obamacare" to be used derisively regarding the Prez. health care plan.
And "Obamacare" was used pejoratively for about a year, when the Prez. embraced the term, said he "liked" it. Now there's no longer a sting to the term.
However, there's not enough time for the Repubs. to find something good in "Romnesia".
They're stuck with it until Nov. 6, like it or not.

linked with caring?

They though it was derisive because they don't give a damn about anyone but themselves and
their buddies.

How could caring about people be an object of scorn?

He has a problem confusing little concerns with the concerns of little people (you people). I'll tell you what's small, the Benghazi made up nonsense. The only reason it's an "issue" is that Mittens had numerous talking heads say on tv that it is. There's no there, there.

A big issue is that all the time that is spent on nothing-burgers like Benghazi, we are wasting on problems we DON'T have, rather than the many problems we DO have (which of course R/R has no plan for)... and that lack of attention where's it's most needed is a concern of the little people, which is a BIG EFFING DEAL.
