First time in my life I've been polled just a while ago! Early Voting Questio (cell phone)-Colorado

I couldn't understand who the pollster was but it was a 5 question poll

1. Sex F
2. Age 65
3. Party affiliation Independent (unaffiliated)
4. Have you already vote yes
5. Who did you vote for Barack Obama (listed all candidates on the ballot)

Yay! Finally! I guess this is how they determine early voting numbers (at least one way anyway)

Your being a female 65, is great. .means they should keep you in the "likely voters" sample!!!

It is interesting to see how they compile early voting numbers. I guess I never thought of polling for it, duh!

These "early voting" pollsters wouldn't waste their time randomly calling registered voters to see who they voted for. I suspect that shortly after Oct 9th, they purchased the list of registered voters in CO, identified those who had requested an absentee ballot, found ph #s for them (if the voter didn't already put it on their voter application), and then shortly after the ballots went out on the 15th, purchased a subscription to the "already voted list" from the SOS or elections' offices. Those lists are updated every other day here in CO. They are probably calling 'unaffiliated' voters on the list and identifying which voter you are in your household with the gender and age questions. Their "have you voted" question is superfluous and is probably asked to let you think you are anonymous to them. You are not. Your Obama response will be noted in their database and you will be marked in it as ‘leaning dem’ for every election hereafter. But at least the rest of us get to see how the voting is shaping up for Obama this election. Your voice surely helped with his polling numbers in CO so a big thanks to you!
