(or the ones who are using the tools of the psychopath like Romney). But this week I would have to Rick Santorum. He is so cruel to gays and lesbians. He wants people to be ignorant like him. And he is so sanctimonious about it all. As if anybody with a different world view, or say a non religiously hierarchical world view like him, he thinks they are evil. I'm not happy he is getting attention right now. He'll teach a new generation of religious to be dumb sheep who do the bidding of the 1%. This week Santorum is trying to break down the esteem people have for universities. What a creep.

Oh, you asked "why". Um, can I just put in a "duh" and leave it up to the reader's imagination?

(24,634 posts)I can't stand them. They have stood on the house floor to spew their hate speeches. They both have blamed Blacks, Hispanics, and almost all minorities for all the woes of America.

(4 posts)Congressman Buck McKeon, but just because he's my local district's Republican representative. He's completely rotten the core, benefiting himself to screw over his constituents - the quintessential corrupt politician. He has gotten away with so much, but his favorability ratings are slipping due to recent corruption allegations (bribery, insider trading) -- which is why I started a website http://www.DefeatMcKeon.com dedicated to his defeat this November.

(190 posts)This pile of human waste coasted into Washington on the coattails of popular North Dakota governor John Hoeven's ascendancy to the Senate. His campaign was primarily funded by Goldmark Property Management, of which he also currently serves as Senior Vice President of their commercial division. Almost anyone who lives in the upper Midwest can attest to what a collective of lowlifes Goldmark is in terms of civic responsibility and business ethics, but a penultimate example is their exploitation of the Williston area oil boom. In less than a year since oil drilling took off in that region, Goldmark jacked average rent for a 1 bedroom apartment from $400 a month to over $2000. Hundreds of seniors and persons with disabilities who have lived there their whole lives have been tossed out on their asses to make way for transient laborers in pursuit of a quick buck. Small businesses have closed up shop left and right because commercial rent has been inflated to unrealistic levels, a charge also led by Goldmark. Once the drilling work has dried up (within 10 years max), Williston, Watford City, etc. will become ghost towns because the long-term community has long since been driven out by oil parasites. Berg's vision for a better America is to abolish the pesky EPA and open up more oil drilling in the Badlands of Teddy Roosevelt National Park. He is also vehemently pro-life and a part of the Congressional Prayer Caucus, along with fellow batshit RepubliCAN'T Michele Bachmann.

(41,212 posts)In the UK: Nick Griffin and the BNP are my strongest hates. Of those with actual power, it's a toss-up between slimy Andrew Lansley, our Health Secretary who is seeking to partially privatize the NHS; and sanctimonious Iain Duncan Smith, our sanctimonious Secretary for Work and Pensions, who acts as though poverty is a sinful habit, and as though he's really doing poor people a kindness when he cuts their benefits. He also once co-authored an article with Rick Santorum.
