Some day, I'd love to see a genuine liberal Democrat in the Colorad governor's office again.

Can't help but like Hickenlooper and he tries to walk a tightrope in this divided state. Wish he'd be closer to the side of environmentalists than big oil but he was great at the convention and with Obama when he came. I guess we have to be thankful for the good Democrats we have in the Senate and House and work harder to swing this swing state to the left.

CO is VERY Purple, despite the number of Dems in office. I think a very liberal Dem would be very unpopular here. Hick is moderate enough that even some Republicans can handle him being in office. That makes it more likely he'll be re-elected. And ultimately I'd much rather have a left-leaning moderate in office than a right wing tea-partier.
