There is no question that the Democratic establishment is throwing the kitchen sink at insurgent progressives like Bernie Sanders and Tim Canova.
But our opponent, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, claims that is just untrue. Yesterday, she told Fox News theres just no shred of evidence to suggestthat she favors establishment candidates as Chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee.
What an insult to our intelligence.
It was no accident that the presidential debates were scheduled during professional and college football games, as well as long holiday weekends. It was no coincidence that Bernie Sanders and our campaign were denied access to the Democratic Partys voter file. It is not just dumb luck that establishment candidates keep winning elections they are literally rigging the system to favor them.
We are the grassroots and we are a threat to their power. Help us overcome a broken and corrupt political system by making a donation of $10 or whatever you can afford.

(6,007 posts)More honest to ask the voters. If they fund you it means you are fighting for them and not the corporations. Much better for democracy AND the Democratic Party.

(94,737 posts)I'm sure people here feel differently, but the Party Committees don't take a neutral position in Primaries when it comes to incumbents. They'd act just the same if a Blue Dog was running against Alan Grayson.

(9,385 posts)If they're both Dems they should both have access to the files. Otherwise, the party is choosing the candidates instead of the people.

(15,953 posts)Also, I believe the DNC could call the state party to tell them yea or nay on whether they should have access to said data.
I'm a precinct chair in Texas, btw. I have access to my precinct's data. If I knew a candidate tried to buy and get access and they were denied, I'd probably give them my data.
I also serve as an Election Judge during primaries, and the Alternate Judge all the other times there is an election.

(15,953 posts)I am not a republican so I wouldn't give them access, they can find that info from their precinct chair or the state party.

(2,145 posts)Grew up thinking they were government outreach organizations. But they are clearly undemocratic and impediments to a real democracy. I wish the Founders had gone for proportional representation. It couldn't be any worse that we've experienced from he republicans the last eight years and the current behavior on the part of the democrats.
I wish Bernie folks were vote green - just to show the democrats we do have a place to go. I'm not afraid of another four years of Republicans. If things get really bad, democratic voters might finally vote for real change.
