I remember back in 2008 during the last couple of weeks before the election, McCain was behind in every poll and John Zogby releases a poll showing McCain in the lead which was an astonishing swing shift. He was on C-Span defending it that same day and swore that the results were credible.
McCain lost.

Even in 00 when Zogby nailed Gore's pop vote victory his CA poll had Gore winning by 1%. He won by 12%. Without that cushion he would have never won the pop vote. His CA poll and Nat'l poll was irreconcilable.
